Creativity was definitely peaking in the 80s from music, to TV, to movies. Now it definitely feels more like a business with creativity being generated on an assembly line. Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻

I like your videos i have seen so many of these films but they all bring joy to me. I love films like Repo Man. Its a shame Remo Williams didn't get a sequel. The studios would always go with what trend was hot at the moment. Scary to think with AI the Terminator and War Games senario couls happen @MoviesNeverSayDie

I'd nominate Amazing Grace & Chuck and Fast Food for your upcoming volumes. As a kid in the 80s with HBO, I saw so many random movies that have been forgotten. I'm pretty sure that even as a child, I thought Fast Food was a bad movie but for some reason, Jim Varney at the height of his Earnest fame, shows up in it. Also his Slinky Dog replacement Blake Clark appears in it, which is sort of randomly coincidental. Also, for a horror submission, The Funhouse is something I only came across in recent years.

@@MoviesNeverSayDie At the time Bill Murray had only agreed to due Ghostbusters if Sony aka Columbia Pictures would fund his other movie project The Razors Edge which they agreed to do which turned out to be a failure at the box office. Yes Murray wasn't too excited about Ghostbusters1984 until the middle of production were he started to have a good time. He didn't want to do the sequel however and a 1987 Saturday Night Live sketch foreshadows this LOL! Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis felt the original was a stand alone film as well and didn't want to do a sequel. Until Columbia Pictures pressured them and with the success of the Real Ghostbusters they changed there minds and did the sequel. Slimer had more screen time but it was cut due to test audiences saying he was too invasive. Harold Ramis actually didn't want Slimer back at all. So the Slimer, Louis and Janine subplot was cut from the sequel. They also changed Janine from crushing on Egon to Louis. The movie was supposed to end with Slimer flying across the NewYork city skyline and Lady Liberty but it was never filmed only a draft and a sketch from the production from 1988 confirms this. 👻🚫🎥🗽

Incredible insight you know some of these differences in the sequel plot sound familiar. I remember reading the novelization of GB2. Its a fine sequel but a standalone film makes sense. The Rescue sounds a lot like Iron Eagle.

You know the core plot is pretty much the same. Veers to its one lane though to get there. Iron Eagle is much better.

Don't know if Never Ending Story got a burst by the Netflix show Stranger Things. They made a reference to the theme song and or Movie in the last season. I do not think it is forgotten but maybe it is harder to find on streaming. Love the other movies on the list. They are definitely going to be harder to find.

Remo Williams, Maximum Overdrive, Vibes, Leviathan and The Serpant And The Rainbow are going on my to-watch list.iathan
It'll be interesting to see Lisa Eilbacher in Leviathan when i get to it. I only know her from Beverly Hills Cop, and 10 To Midnight, but they are my favourite films of 84 and 83.
I've seen Back To School i thought it was okay, my main reason for watching it was that it featured Terry Farrell, who i love in DS9, and have met at Star Trek conventions (yeah i'm one of those geeks lol). The only other thing i've seen her in is as the star of Hellraiser 3.
I can't give an unbiased opinion for The Never Ending Story. On the day i finished my Junior school in England (July 1991) i volunteered to help teacher's take down decorations than watch this. I went in mid-way through the film, so i had no idea what it was about, for that reason i can't give it a fair judgement, but it's a film i won't choose to watch again lol.

What about First Power? Have you done a review on that yet with Lou Diamond Phillips. That’s one of those good but not thought about movies. Pink Cadillac was another

I started questioning if The First Power was from the late 80s so I googled and it’s 1990 so maybe a 90s forgotten about list lol brother you really gave me hooked on your channel I love it. Really brings me back to when I was a kid. Ok last one cuz you’re the professional but House was another one I loved as a kid, then there was several sequels but another great flick

@@MoviesNeverSayDie oh man I’m tellin ya I’m 43 and all those action hero’s, Arnold, Stallone, VanDamme and first was probably Bruce Lee when I was real young is what got me into bodybuilding and martial arts. As kids we wanted to be those guys! Pffft if I’m being honest I still do lol 😆 but like I said before movies and music was all I had as a kid, kind of like last action hero I guess

That music between clips is so aggravating. Sorry, and I know others who use it so it’s overplayed. Decent content but different subtle music would be so much more enjoyable.
