This Opening always was, and still is, Awesome. I swear, this song left such an impression on me, that I spent years looking for it before finally finding it. I dont know why Capcom doesnt leave the original music in their Megaman games more often.
It kind of pisses me off. More effort went into this intro than went into the entirety of X5. They even animated the flashbacks here for cutscenes that they couldn't be bothered to animate in the previous game. WTF, Capcom? 😢
There use to be a rental shop around where i live where you could play ps1 for P15.00 per hour and for the first 10 minutes of my time i would always play megaman x6 just to play the opening and would keep pressing reset after it finish.

X7 is crap sure, it's clunky and slow and the voice acting is annoying but X6's levels feel like they were designed by a first grader on a crumpled up sheet of loose leaf. I have to reset the game or kill myself to get out of areas the game led me to.

Maybe these cutscenes were being developed for X5 but since the devs were rushed, they just used what they could to ship asap @@volkerball85

since x4 and 5 were too dark, x6 was much lighter.
