Beetlejuice's ex wife was kind of unnecessary. It felt like Tim Burton just wanted to cast his girlfriend and justified it this way. I don't hate it tho. I think the Soul Train gag wasn't meant for us. That was more for the people who saw the original as teenagers or adults. I'm good with that. I do think Rory was a bit much tho. "I was helpfully getting boxes." Okay. It makes Lydia seem stupid. Lydia should not be stupid. That's frustrating and unsatisfying. But I have to tell you, I like it. I'm happy we got it. Definitely a positive
I've always liked Tim Burton films for the most part, tbh I mainly watch Beetlejuice for Beetlejuice, so I'll say it even one more time Beetlejuice. Not to say Lydia, and Delia, and all the other actors weren't great in the original, but I'll probably like it then if Beetlejuice is in it more, plus I like the cartoon, so I will probably like it.
Love the shirt!!! The online reviews are consistent with your own. That it's fun, but maybe not at the iconic level of the original. Still, I have my ticket for Saturday, and I can't wait to see it.
Definitely not as instantly iconic as the first film, but I really loved returning to this world. Burton felt happy to be here so we felt that as a viewer
@FlickeringMyth I have to disagree with the doubled screen time over the original statement. Keaton has gone on the record saying his stipulation for returning as Beetlejuice in the sequel is to have reduced screen time. He said there should be less reliance on his character. I wish he was in it more! Apparently he was only in the OG for 17 minutes and there's just no way he more than doubled that in this one. As I was walking out I was guessing 15 to 20 minutes total.

In the original movie, the final 2 guests invited by Charles Deetz for the exorcism were actually killed by Beetlejuice.

The wackier afterlife stuff is very inspired by the cartoon and trust me, there’s a lot more Juice! He's used well here for sure

Flickering Myth, nice video keep it up bro
Thanks 💜
It’s all been mediocre to bad from Burton - last good one I’d say Big Fish but I’m excited for this one 🤞🏽
I was cautiously excited and glad it paid off!
Sweeney Todd
Spoilers?
None here! Trying to give everyone a fair viewing 🙌
How much screen time did bj had in the movie?
While I didn't keep track, it more than double of the original. And he shows up earlier than what he did in OG
@@FlickeringMyth thanks bro
