I'm from a suburb of montreal and I'm glad you ate a proper poutine. Sometimes tourists comes and eat a shitty version with improper cheese and gravy. You went to one of the best poutine in Montreal. Great job!
Another high quality video Kym. My wife and I were really impressed with watching in Montreal how hard you work. Thanks again for putting our picture in your Montreal F1 photo album. It was quite a surprise to see you next to us at the Paddock Club F1 Experiences Suite taking candids!
Great to see you in town. Looking forward to the weekend. I see you were on St-Paul street, just next is St-Pierre street and best espresso in the city. Micro Espresso. Say hi to Simon if you go. Enjoy your weekend.
Well done. You certainly hit a few of the “must do’s” in Montreal- Leonard Cohen, bagels, poutine, the art gallery., and I enjoyed your market montage. Montreal’s a great city! BTW, I believe the stairways are designed with the snow in mind. Any experts out there? Thank you Kym.
I find my way to Montreal from Florida every year for the GP. There's no other city that embraces F1 like Montreal. If you haven't already, spend some time in Old Montreal. That's where you'll find some of the best restaurants the city has to offer. 🇨🇦 🏎 🏁 🇨🇦 🏎 🏁
Hello again Kym, I was down Crescent St on Monday night, it was very lively...I think I seen you in pitlane on Friday, I was seated in GS 16 opposite the Williams garage. I'll try upload the 2 photos I took for you to verify. (Travelled from UK to Montreal)
Hi Kim welcome to my hometown you will love Montreal same vibes as Melbourne lots of Italian heritage you should visit little Italy 🏁🏎️🇨🇦🇮🇹big support for Ferrari you should eat beaver tales with maple syrup going back home next year for the gran Prix was there in 2022 now I live in Brisbane married to an Aussie girl 26 years ago stay safe and passion Kim 🇦🇺🇨🇦
You had good advisers Kym. The poutine you tried is definitely one of the best in Montreal. The bagel place (St-Viateur) is one of the two best in the city with Fairmount Bagels. Enjoy your stay and try not to pay too much attention the the f*%king road work everywhere.
Just watched this video (a bit late). Little fun fact, one of the Maple Syrup bottle that you showed on camera "Le Tabarnak" is actually a very popular swear word in Montreal. Loosely translates to "dumbf*ck" :D
Ths video is better than what the tourist board would put out with a lot more people and time! Just don't try filming with your bags on an escalator or you might end up with a head wound.
Umm. June weather in Montreal is hit and miss. You may get some sunshine but still cold. I'm surprised Kym was even able to get around a city that is constantly fixing horrendous pot holes on their roads.
That bagel joint is the best. The line on weekend mornings is to China. Crescent St got boring many years ago. There are better places to hang out. The gallery is spot on. If my memory serves me well they have another location on St Paul St in Old Town which I believe is the better location. I nearly bought a pricey piece a decade ago. I regret not buying it. And for the love of God please get dinner at Garde Manger.
Should have gone to Chez Claudette. Waaay better poutine than La Banquise. The latter gets hyped mostly because it is open late (for drunk clubbers to stumble into). Chez Claudette blows it out the water in terms of taste and value!
Poutine mate - singular, not poutines. Cheese curds mate - not cheddar. Find a poutine food truck next time and you will be blown away. The Montreal F1 downtown nightlife is wild btw.
I love Kym and his travel videos and tips, but sometimes I feel, we all don't get these nice business/first class and lounge access. Most of us travel as regular plebs :( ... however, his tips for savings costs is gold regardless of class. Just don't mention the airport trolley costs to Kym, he is not a fan of spending money on that. :)
Great video and glad you enjoyed the poutine! 1 of the best poutine is at Amir restaurant chain; just make sure you get the traditional poutine with normal French fries, not the 1 made with their signature garlic potatoes (which are great on their own)
Some places in Montreal only accept credit cards associated with a Canadian bank. Which is why American tourists go to Toronto and pretty much anywhere else in Canada with no issues. Quebecers just doing quebecer things. :)
The person telling you you cant film on the plane. That kind of person gets off on expressions of authority over people. I cant stand people like that. The worst case is when you come across a cop that has no reason to flex their limited authority over you. Can't stand that ish
Ok, the weird driver portraits with doodles on them- really don't care too much about that. But the deformed F1 model is actually quite unique and impressive. Nice showcase.
Yes. Montreal is a small city and there is some Airlines that use A321 Neo on routes to Europe. TAP do it to Lisbon, Transat to Lisbon, Amsterdam and other cities.
You will have to explain the economics of a F1 photographer. Cause I can't understand how you can afford living in hotels for the whole season and fly bussines.
Please, so much more to Mtl. than Poutine. F1 Kicks off the Mtl. Summer. Many streets are closed for street fairs. The Local Ferrari club has events. The city becomes a big party and the center of the city, about four blocks becomes wall to wall people at night. You will see Montreal's divers ethnicity enhanced by the wealthy F1 entourage who party along with every one.
Great city ... but completely sh*t airport and perhaps the roughest urban roads in Canada. I looked for you at the event but must have missed you amongst our fellow bald guys.
That talk with the taxi driver and his little Senna appreciation speech was realy lovely
I'm from a suburb of montreal and I'm glad you ate a proper poutine. Sometimes tourists comes and eat a shitty version with improper cheese and gravy. You went to one of the best poutine in Montreal. Great job!
And it uses proper curds, NOT cheddar cheese!
I love when he described it correctly as “dangerously good”. Hahaha, nothing like a good Poutine.
Yeah i was gonna say props to him, thats about as legit of a poutine as they get. Good man😂
I enjoyed greatly the art gallery part. Her explanation of the concepts felt honest and without exageration, and made me want to go watch in person.
7:30 „it‘s dangerously good“ 😂 I have to take a flight to Montreal 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️✈️
I’m from Montreal! So I really appreciated this episode ! I noticed just how good your video are getting ! Incredible!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you for a great review of one of our fine Canadian cities! We hope that all visitors explore what is on offer and enjoy every moment.
Nice to see you out and about in Montreal and taking in the local flavors. Such a unique city. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay.
So good!
Another excellent video. You did Montreal justice, hitting some of the local favourite hotspots. It was great to meet you at the track as well!
Thanks, you too!
Awwww I really wanted to bump into you in Canada!!! Next year please. I would absolutely love it!

Great video!!! Those bagels ARE outstanding!!
They are!
Love your videos and I wish I was there to visit that Art Gallery it looked awesome
Great! I like your Job ! :) Bienvenu à Montréal!
You were in shot on Sky Sports (for ESPN in US) during FP2 taking photos of LeClerc. Recognized your bucket hat.

I work at a poutine restaurant and food truck in the US and it makes me happy that you love poutine.
Love these videos, damn they’re addictive! Thanks Kym!🏁

Kym great video you should also visit schwartz Deli being close to downtown.
Always gotta love Airline people trying to intimidate people thinking you don't know your rights. Great video as always Kym
Over here in Portugal we say "TAP: Take Another Plane"

Kym I LOVE watching your vlogs!! Thank you!! Wish I could be in your baggage 😋
Wonderful stuff. I hope tomorrow's race is a good one.
😊 Awww a nice showcase of my city ! Awesome video !
Glad you liked it!
It was good seeing you Kym!
Love the wall art. Good travel vlog.

Wait, the TAP flight to Montreal was on an A321? Quite interesting. Here in Asia people would throw a fit if they get a narrowbody on a 3 hour flight!
It was great seeing you in montreal!!
I was anticipating Kim's video from Montreal more than the race itself 😅
Music to my ears
Whoever recommended you La Banquise knows their stuff, legendary place
Hi Mr. Kym, hope to meet you in Montreal :)
I will be there
@@KymIllman I will monitor your instagram. Hope you have time for a coffee or move around the town :)

Captain is king. Are you going to Las Vegas, I hear a little expensive
I wonder the kind of patience one needs to keep while going about so much of travelling…Zen like Kym👏🏻
I agree, but I'm sure flying business and first class eases the pain a bit.
Sofitel Boutique hotel, I stayed their for 4days to meet with JV. He likes that hotel and recommended the hotel …. I like it too.
Gotta say, it takes a special kind of man to keep eating while someone else clean up your mess 😮😂😂
And record it all too 🤦♂️

Wow what a neat gallery visit!
Tip for Madrid - taxi is a 25€ flat fare to Barajas instead of Uber. Not sure about inbound
The Canadian GP just won't be the same without the Goat.
Montreal in June is truly Sublime. Beautiful, friendly, and so much to see and do. ❤
Not sublime this week. Cold and wet for much of it.
Umm. June weather in Montreal is hit and miss. You may get some sunshine but still cold. I'm surprised Kym was even able to get around a city that is constantly fixing horrendous pot holes on their roads.

Interesting, long haul on a 321 Neo... any comments wide body vs narrow body for this kind of flight?
Would definitely rather a wide body jet, but it was a pretty good value fly
This is a great video
Great video!
Thanks!
Thank you for showing me my country!
My pleasure!
Thanks
Montreal seems like a nice city, shame about the country's leader
Did you buy Madrid Montreal or Madrid Lisbon and another Lisbon Montreal?
Excellent
Really enjoyed the vlog Kym, you’ve got a very calm and composed demeanour. Hated those artworks though, tacky as anything 😂
You don't like Mr. Sticky Peaches?! He's only copying the best artists!
The best thing about art! You either love it or hate it😊 I loved it. Thinking a trip to Montreal is in the cards! Cheers

A flight to Canada at 4:20.....
dont let anyone tell you you cant film aircraft or yourself onboard
Being a Canadian, what is a Canadian credit card? We use cards like Visa and Mastercard like the rest of the world.
It's a card associated with a Canadian Bank. Like a Visa TD or Master Card Banque Nationale. So a Visa Citi from the US won't work.
I did not know that. I'm just a fool that lives in western Canada. Thanks for the info.
Some places in Montreal only accept credit cards associated with a Canadian bank. Which is why American tourists go to Toronto and pretty much anywhere else in Canada with no issues. Quebecers just doing quebecer things. :)
Perhaps it was meant to be Debit cards
Wich are not credit card
Fairmount bagels accepts exclusively cash (canadian)
Be warned

typical bs from TAP airlines . . .so surprised Kym took this airline.
TAP is always the last resort, when all other options have been extinguished.
Hahaha the carry on bag policy is funky to say the least. Do they expect us to fly over an ocean with no luggage? No carry on?
Montréal is the best, ask the drivers 😊
Omg what does it cost? jeez
Is it me or you seem to enjoy Montreal MODERATLY?
Now I want poutine...
check with cardiologist first; for real
Those wrists are pretty bare, Kym!
700-800 USD or 1300 EURO? I would like to do your exchanges sir! :D
Even shitty poutine in Canada is awfully good when you are a starving college kid traveling in Oh Canada! during summer break.
Ok, the weird driver portraits with doodles on them- really don't care too much about that. But the deformed F1 model is actually quite unique and impressive. Nice showcase.
Wait you had an accident. Then you filmed while they cleaned it up....

Correct
La banquise is the worst poutine ever
Poutine has no s and it's not cheddar cheese but cheese curds and the gravy is not sweet.
