IAmFozzy100 you are so wrong African civilizations are much older than China, Rome or Greece so what you are saying makes no sense from a timeframe perspective.
IAmFozzy100 my dear uninformed brother the oldest civilizations has everything to do with who invented what. Any student of history knows that civilizations were builded off the foundation of the nations and civilizations before them especially civilizations in those regions of the world. Do you really believe that Mesopotamia just came into existence, it and all the other civilizations in that region including Greek and Rome. It is easy to see when you eliminate looking at everything through the eyes of Europeans. They are not the only people in the world and they did not invent history, they simply wrote about it and made themselves the center. I will help you discover the truth, ask any biologists to list the ages of each race on earth and the you can determine which race has been here the longest. When you see which race has been here the longest you will be able to determine that group’s potential for human contribution. The Africans had boiled the pyramids before there was a Europe, white people or Mesopotamia
Don't overlook advances in leather tanning techniques in West Africa in the early modern period. Most of the great old European books from the period are bound in highly-sought-after West African leather, traded up to Morocco, and then on to Spain, and then into the rest of Europe. Ghislaine Lydon's 'On Trans-Saharan Trails' details this.
When I was young I lived in the city my whole life. One summer break i went to visit my grandparents in the village ( I'm from Ghana). The village is at a remote area that the most technological thing they have is a small radio. We went to the farm one day and I saw people making alcohol using the process of distillation. They extract raw fermented juice from a palm tree. They boil the juice at a high temperature and connect tubes to a river and other tubes to an empty barrel which the distilled alcohol fill into. I was shocked how they came by that knowledge because none of those guys can read. They never had any contact with western education. My grandpa told me his great grandpa said they have been using that method for many years. My grandpa is 91 years.
Yes they did. Also the use of antibiotics had been discovered by ancient Nubians as far back as 2000 years ago. Modern studies found tetracycline in ancient Nubian bones. They used their beers which was fermented to make tetracycline to treat gum disease and other ailments... The Western world only discovered penicillin in 1928.
@@declan-kayodekeegan1598 What is the connection with antiseptics and antibiotic?? A more fair connection is when Europe started using soaps which is around the Medieval Ages.

Nusaibah Ibraheem That’s actually untrue Arabs are credited for their Ancient history in the Middle East. The issue I was speaking about was the fact that civilizations like Ancient Egypt are credited to either Arabs or Europeans when in reality neither arrived until much later. Many people are ignorant and don’t even realize that Egypt is in Africa. While civilizations like Ancient Nubia and the Kingdom of Ethiopia are overlooked all together.

I believe the most recent evidence suggests that iron metallurgy/smelting was invented independently (separately) in both West Africa and the Near East (where smelting dates from about 2,000BC are also found), not so much that Eurasian/Near Eastern iron metallurgy came from Africa (since iron smelting ocurred later in east/northeast Africa than either West Africa or the Near East).
@Karen Maynard Yes, thank you. I think I've seen some of those but will look at the rest (I am reading some now). There are also very early iron smelting dates from southeast Nigeria (one mentioned in the video I believe); from Lejja (ca. 2,000 BC, found in Pamela Eze-Uzomaka's 2009 study, linked below) and Opi (ca. 750 BC.) also in southest Nigeria, both of which archaeologist Augustin Holl in your link also mentions. There are also the ca. 800-900 BC iron dates (from the site of Gbabiri in the Central Africa Republic). The archaeometallurgist Manfred Eggert, in his essay/chapter "Early iron in West and Central Africa" as part of the book "Nok: African Sculpture in Archaeological Context" (pages 51-59) also concludes that iron metallurgy in sub-Saharan Africa was probably independently invented.
@@boosie4l133 Make up more BS. The monolith you refer to as "white folks" say metallurgy was invented concurrently in different areas. And if you want to bring Europe into it, they consider the Balkans to be the first site of metallurgy in Europe, not Britain.

Nobody expects this loot to be returned to Israel. Most European museums would be empty if they were obligated to return the root. Great job and eloquently explained as usual. The Afrikan contributions to medicine could have been more extensive and especially on surgical medical practitioners like Imhotep. Not only master builder and mathmatician, he is considered the father of scientific medicine. Who's stele show surgical instruments that are still in use today. Except that our Khemitic ancestors used obsidian blades for their operations because it doesn't leave scars. You could have spoke on the esoteric subject of Khemitic use of electricity. Proof of it is not only the elaborate ceiling paintings of the universe and the fact that the soot from torches and candles are from the grave robbers a.K.a Egyptologists, but also from the wall carving in Dendara showing our ancestors with Djeds/batteries and what appears to be light bulbs. The fact is that Volta patent the battery two years after he comes out of Egypt with Napoleon. To quote Count Constantine De Volney, who also went with Napoleon, upon seeing the Great Sphinx, said, "just think that the race of Black men, today our slave and object of our scorn, is the very race to which we owe our arts, science and even the use of speech".
Very well presented with clear references. It does demonstrate that there is a concerted effort to keep these facts from being more broadly known. Which, of known by all, would in turn cause all to respect Africa as a place of science before Europe and as a result starting to see the potential of Africans today. Thanks for your research.

IAmFozzy100 how do you know?
IAmFozzy100 you are so wrong African civilizations are much older than China, Rome or Greece so what you are saying makes no sense from a timeframe perspective.
IAmFozzy100 don’t be condescending.
@IAmFozzy100 you're spot on
IAmFozzy100 my dear uninformed brother the oldest civilizations has everything to do with who invented what.

Umm.........you DO know that alcohol was around wayyy before written language was ever invented?........?....??????
My late grandmother "performed" surgery with leaves and bark of trees. I'm also from Ghana

@Karen Maynard Thanks for the link! I'm watching it now. I've allways found Ehret very interesting.

This was an incredible lesson. Thank you. Ive become a member of the Patreon Account. 💛
Thanks to those behind this research and especially to those who put together and expose this truth so we Africans and the rest of the world can appreciate Africa. Some part of it was taught in Nigerian history in my secondary school and this report is so accurate with what I've learnt and come to know with proof. Not just a made up story. This should be taught in African schools and also other parts of the world so Africans can be proud of who they are.
To be honest, it's not the Oromo, but the Keffa people who discovered coffee. And everyone owes Africa everything.
Coffee is Yemeni.
@@kareemtheeb1478 Sure
@Bela T.T Exactly. Maybe his sources were wrong!
It's crystal clear the name coffee comes from Keffa place where the people of keffa lived not the oromo he got wrong source and also the most ancient city Harar Ethiopia is taking by oromo people the name harar refers Harare people of Ethiopia but oromo people should take it easy we all are Ethiopian but I'm not agree when one tribes try to take advantage of other tribes history and dignity that's stupidity
@@Godblsu Yeah you are right. But it might not be the Oromos who said they discovered coffee. It might be someone trying to cause problems.
this is exactly the kind of videos i have been craving lately, im really thankful someone suggested your channel to me. really awesome videos man, thank you for doing what you do.
HomeTeam History is number #1
Imagine that. OUR oldest mathematical instrument is being held in Europe smh....
“Our” you won’t here europens saying europens saying our other then there own country.
Right. We are so sweet. We shared with them everything and allowed them to study our ways, and they domesticated us like animals. But worship our teachings.
Out of the Bleu TV stop saying we there was no we back then most black peoples didn’t teach anything to white people wha your saying is like saying all black people were involved in the slave trade
Were Wolf Your own people documented all that they were taught. This isn’t a matter of my personal opinion. Your kind is only 6000 years old. We date back to over 200,000 years. Keep digging. And remove your emotions. What’s a slave??!? They were enslaved indigenous people who were used for labor by a species who was not genetically fit to do the work. Keep digging.
Out of the Bleu TV u do realise I’m half black so my people isn’t really a thing. Also that doesn’t matter because the idea of black people being one people is recent and 95% see by ethnicity. That’s what I am saying also I love how whenever someone dissagrees y’all assume there white
Thank you for pouring the knowledge!
Shadow The Poet Thank you so much ☺️

This video is so beautiful.
Governments really need to teach a more broader scope of history.
In the u.k, 20 years ago, I only learned British history and whenever black people where mentioned, it was in a negative light. That we were slaves.
All this was missing until now, watching this video. I am now 36!!!
My children are 2 and 4. I will be taking it upon myself to teach my children how beautiful and intelligent they amd their ancestors are and were.

Success has enemies. That's why they watch us and hate us.
Africa's greatest gift was being the motherland for the entire human race.

@Steelerz Reign Supreme some of us are working diligently behind the scenes to help destroy this Global system of white supremacy!..My last name has absolutely NOTHING to do with my revolutionary spirit!..As a survivor of the Ancestors of the transatlantic slave trade...it is my duty to honor them by recognizing and making it known to the rest of the world how their skills, inventions and ingenuity built this so called Amerikkka!!🔥🔥SMDH!
Thank you so much for your researches brother please try to do some research about central Africa like Gabon. It's really hard to find anything about their history and kings. Please thanks brother
Gabon ( Gabaon) was a part of ancient Kongo Kingdom
LOVE this channel! ✊🏿
Awesome video.😀
That ending made my day though 😭
The NBA Storyteller actual fact me too
Have you thought of creating DVD series. each DVD having dozens of your 10-15 minute history talk. each DVD can be 2-3 hours long. i will be your customer. in that manner, i can have hard copies of your stories
@kamite 1 AgreedIndeed!
So much time has been spent white-washing history, so there's always room for more accurate black history and those that disseminate it🖤The more the merrier🖤
Thank you for this. I'm curious, though -- no scholar could dismiss the contributions of Egypt to global civilization, could they?
It's wonderful to learn of these other contributions as well, from all over Africa.
You are doing the most important greatest teaching for us. People need to know their real history to become more loving, selfaware, better versions of themselves.
Thank you, brother. God bless the teachers.
Sense the 1960's I don't want know body to give me nothing open the door I'll get it myself don't give integration give me true communication don't give me sorrow I want equal opportunity to live tomorrow give me schools give me better books so I can read about myself and gain my truly looks. Great content bro
The Lebombo bone is much older than the Ishango bone.
Again, My Brother(Per Above); The Specifics Are NOT To Argue Over, So Long As It Is Acknowledged, That The FOUNDATION, Is Africa! Peace & Blessings!!
Thank you very much for this informative video HTH. I'm a Middle School/HS teacher here in New Jersey USA. I just viewed this with my youngest MS student and it was fascinating. I'm fortunate to teach in person /1-on-1 in my school.
We both got a lot out of it, so I'm happy and sad: happy that I was able to grow our "knowledge bank account", sad that these accomplishments aren't more well known. That will end now. To me, a good idea is a good idea and I think, in this context, those civilizations had some great ones.
BTW: no confirmation bias but I 110% agree with #1 and so did my student!
Good stuff, keep it up..
Peter
Jesus. If you're showing this in an education setting you should be ashamed of yourself. This video is entertaining but it is *not* factually accurate. You owe your students accuracy, honesty, and the truth. There are plenty of amazing things about African history, people, and cultures, why not focus on those instead of the falsehoods presented here?
@@Aiphiae Could you name these other African subjects that could be taught in a school setting?
Best African History Channel on youtube!!
