I have watched at least 30 different performances of this song, and this is one of my all time favorites. It is so honest, and the struggle between the two characters is outstanding.
Seriously! I’ve watched at least 7 Broadway-level productions of this specific track (including the actual broadway performances, and this is BY FAR the best I’ve ever seen in any capacity.
Anthony did a live concert in Sydney a few years back and acted out this with effects - was excellent, but this is one of the better performances I have seen, including broadway.
The funny part is that I gurantee you that when this guy posted this 8 years ago he had no idea that someone would comment something like this, and mean it sincerly 😂😂 god i love the future
@@monkey3906 I'm actually a girl who posted this :) But this is my friend Jason performing and I still pass along all of the nice comments he receives, 8 years later. Amazing!
Who in the world is this guy?!!! BEST I have ever seen of this song and I have seen dozens! Everything about his performance is Spot On!! Fantastic!! And the Energy is insane, Pun intnended!! This guy is the real deal. I would pay to see him perform!! Simply Outsanding!! What a gift!!
i love this. i love how jekyll's voice is sort of intertwined with hyde's and vice versa showing that they really are becoming one, especially as the song goes on. its easy to decipher whos who at the beginning but as it goes on they mix and its harder to tell. he does it brilliantly
That's an awesome way to look at it! Though for me when I sing it it's usually just weird switching back and forth so they start to blend lol- I love the theory now it's bouncing around in my brain
this is an absolutely stellar performance of this song. you truly capture the struggle between each person trying to gain control, and embody the pain between switches. super cool
Impressive! I know it's been said already but I really enjoy the slower transitions between Jekyll and Hyde. I think each style has its strengths, and for this it made the fight for control a lot grittier, which really grabbed my attention
Amazing! You/he absolutely nailed the "two egos fighting over one body" act, shaking and stuttering, twitching and grunting, a very good performance indeed!
This is one of the best performances of confrontation I've ever seen... the switching between the vocals and the acting wow.... you can really see and feel the struggle between the two I don't know if it is on purpose but I like how the shirt is split into two sides, the clean one and the bloodied one with the clean side facing the audience when jekyll sings and the bloodied side facing the audience when hyde sings... The part where hyde sings "they'll never be able to separate jekyll from hyde" follow by the line between the two being blurred as he tries to remove his button shirt which represents the two sides.... I thought that metaphor was really well done everything about this is so perfect T_T
This one is the best I have seen so far between the vocals and acting- it just feels the most real. There is something "in his eyes" that is unmatched for me ;)
This is the first performance of confrontation I've seen that's properly shown Jekyll's fear and the relationship between the two of them how I picture it in y head when I hear the soundtrack
Whoever said "wow" at the end is so real

I've been watching them all morning 🤭
@@bradon126 In my opinion Anthony Warlow’s is slightly better but it was never performed on stage, live. This performance was still amazing tho

Finally, an actor good enough to distinguish between the two
Better than Hasselholf
Agreed. I saw another guy do this song with the professional lighting and everything and he was also better and hasselhoff
It's GREAT
The way he looks up as Hyde makes it look like his pupils dissapear, amazing character work

His voice is….wow….
Lovely voice! Better than most professional performances!
this is so incredible
omg, man, it's perfect! Fantastic perfomance 😍
One of the better performances I've seen and I do struggle with a, shall we say, strange obsession.
Fantastic performance, especially with the more limited (ie none) special effects for the transitions than most productions
Amazing!!!
If people would stop _whisperimg_ that would be *GREAT*
brilliant performance, but the incredibly annoying audience whispering ruined it for me :(
THIS IS GORGEOUS OH MY GOD? chills i want to be like him
Nailed it. And the physical component is fantastic!

Very good!
i'll see you there jekyll
Bravo
