This is a nice cozy cafe/hotel/art gallery located near Asakusa station. It’s around a 9-minute walk from Exit 4 ( where you can immediately see the iconic Flamme d'Or designed by the French architect, Philippe Starck ).
For matcha lovers, you might want to try the Matcha ( 抹茶 ) drinks or desserts on the menu, featuring Maki-no-shiro ( 槇の白 ) from Yamamasa Koyamaen in Kyoto.
Route Books Cafe
This is a cafe/books/pottery/botanicals near Ueno station. It’s a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 ( Ginza line ).
If you want to try pottery-making, read a Japanese book or English newsletter, enjoy a cup of coffee …… you can do all that here. They also serve special lunch menu on Fridays and weekends.
