@@dancingjulio I’m not someone who plays very optimally or for MOC so it’s definitely not his best team but right now it’s Dr. Ratio, Welt, Yukong, and Gepard (who’s going to be replaced with Aventurine) Welt acts as a great debuffer for the comp with his slow and imprison, plus he can run the DEF shredding Nihility LC. Yukong’s attack boost is perfect for Ratio’s follow up attacks since it’s just conditional on the turns taken after her skill is cast, plus her crit boosting ultimate can trigger his follow up with his ult. I figure Aventurine will be a perfect addition because he’s a fantastic sustain who has frequent follow up attacks that will cover the AOE Ratio lacks, plus he can apply another debuff and further buff Ratio.
Using aventurine, ratio, yukong and silver wolf might help in moc battles with quantum/imaginary weakness. If there's quanta on boss inflict imaginary, or vice versa for all party fast weakness break

Acheron is just damage, Dice guy actually provides more than nukes It doesn’t matter that you can one shot the enemy, if the next wave is gonna one shot you back
Gambler for the Gacha Gamblers, perfection! He is also really good to get if your using the current MC for sustain in case when the new path comes out you want to use that path instead
I THINK I'm pulling for aventurine just because this game seems to be getting harder (naturally) and he's a 5* Preservation unit. With both him and Fu Xuan I'm sure I'll never have to worry about sustain ever again. Acheron is just another damage character. Yeah, it can be argued that you don't need sustain if the enemy dies faster BUT I'm taking into consideration future game modes like Gold and Gears and higher MoC floors where damage is meaningless if you get 1shotted.

my current team is already topaz, ratio, loucha, and SW. this allows me to replace loucha for a diff team and have topaz buff 2 people not to mention his trace bingo! wants follow ups, and e1 increases how many so 100% aventurine, topaz, ratio. is gonna be amazing fun for me
IF ANYTHING, the most important thing to remember is that team building matters the most in HSR. It doesn't matter how OP one singular unit is, the moment you add in different supports and other team comps- that's where you can find the true value that a character holds. With that being said, I'm being so greedy right now but I really hope that I'm able to pull for Aventurine and Topaz... A follow-up centered team of Dr. Ratio, Topaz, Ruan Mei, and Aventurine just sounds sooo so good. Extremely skill point efficient as well. What with Ruan Mei buffing pretty much everyone in the team and just allowing them to go ham on everything...
@@josephoyek6574 If you're using it for Simulated Universe? Nah, not at all. For normal content though, and especially MoC you'll probably struggle with a lack of skill points. Also I just learned the devastating news that without Aventurine's E1- you can't spam follow-up attacks to charge his own stacks. Limiting him to just 1 stack per any ally's follow up (he needs 7 to perform his own)
If Aventurine didnt have anyone else competing. I would have pulled for him since he fits perfectly into my playstyle. Since Acheron is here though, I am pulling for her because I just to absolutely with extreme vigor and fury without restraint, to just mercilessly, WRECK everything!!!!! Also for practical reasons as I dont have a 5 star Lightning Character. :3
@@sparklingcutie Aventurine gives effect res, crit dmg, massive stackable shields and decent aoe damage with his follow ups and sp positive. Meanwhile Gepard just has a barely decent shield thats tied to his ultimate and runs out pretty quick if characters have extra turns like Jingliu or if you use Bronya.. Theyre not even comparable.
I swear, HSR makes me want to pull for like. Everyone. The only easy skips for me were Jingliu and JY. If I don’t pull on a banner, then it’s because I’m strangling myself so I don’t. I hope I stay strong to resist BS for my Kafka teams. Sampo supremacy (copium)
You made a really good point about every team running the same duo support of Ruan Mei, Bronya/Sparkle can make it stale. Plus we still have so many other potential Nihility characters in the future that might just make E0 Acheron even better than launch. We see this first hand with Kafka and Topaz just getting better indirectly
Kafka was good on release tho despite some nerfs it didn’t change how she played. Unless future units provide her with stacks towards her ult I doubt she will get any better.
@@danomaly8943Good thing her stacks are gained through debuffs, and not some special mechanics. As long as we get a Nihility/Harmony/Sustain that applies 1 debuff on their turn, one on ult and one on enemy turn, we're golden.
@@GamingFreakShow1991 That’s a lot of maybes to consider and makes her feel like Jing Yuan where you have to run specific units to make her work. You need a welt and pela imo to get the debuffs but welt is SP hungry. F2P won’t have enough to go for Sparkle AND Acheron. Hanya is Ok but running to debuffs and one harmony for SP isn’t going to be efficient because it takes too long for her to do damage.
Also Ruan Mei/Bronya/Sparkle meta us HSR own dault because 4 star harmony units are garbage of Tingyun. Kafka and Topaz are bad comparisons because they were good on release and we knew they would get better. Acheron is more like Jing Yuan because they are both slow to do big damage and need specific units in order to work whereas Kafka and Topaz can be paired with any dot or follow up attacker respectively
Personally... Skipping Sparkle and Acheron for Aventurine. I love my sustains, but im a lover of tanks that also do dmg.... And it also makes me start building my tanks as well to further build that preservation team i always wanted to build for stuff like swarm, gng, and just the sim uni grind.
As a husbando player, naturally I'll pull for Aventurine. But I'll still pull on Acheron's banner if she's either in the second phase or Gallagher is in her banner.

Aventurine for me, never been a fan of "Raiden Mei", though I'll admit Acheron is the best Raiden version so far and her skill animation is beautiful(dc about the ult), might try to get her in a rerun.
I'm pulling everyone unfortunately. Not crazy enough to go for Eidolons or any superimposed LCs but definitely pulling for Sparkle, Aventurine and Acheron and their LCs.
Honestly I think I'm going for Aventurine(If I win the 50/50 for him) Acheron is awesome, don't get me wrong, but my ocd is so severe that I'm addicted to having my units taking zero damage. Plus I'm a sucker for shields(Getting Gepard early is the source of this) And I got more preservation lc than nihility ones. Tldr, I'm pulling for who I like.

Great video! I really like that you are very objective and you did not bash another unit in favour of another because both are great picks depending on your wants and needs. I'd argue no one here in this game is a must pull because investment matters the most, but then there is a saying "supports are forever" so the likes of RM and Sparkle will be so good for anyone then there's Aventurine who will surely be a top tier sustain. Honestly, I'm going for Aventurine cause I've been wanting him ever since even tho i have Luocha, Fu Xuan, and Gepard. Aventurine seems to be a dps buffer sustain hybrid so i'm sure he will be great to buff overall dps too contrary to just using a purely sustain character like gepard and luocha. Easy asf for me, since I'm a big ass Aventurine simp and husbando collector Hobestly unbiased opinion, from a sheerly meta perspective, pull Aventurine. Great supports will always be more valuable than great dps. Sure, she might be a great dps, but dps is easily replaced and can't be used for all content
As I normally hate AI voiced video's, this video is really honest and you and me think very much alike. I'm like... damn... I need a second sustain to help me with MoC floor 11 and 12. But Acheron speedrunning SU looks super satisfying, but that ultimate... that's super super satisfying. I have to go for both. As someone that never buys the top-ups only monthly welkins and battlepass. I just hope I get lucky and don't lose a 50/50... Hopefully anniversary brings us many pulls!
honestly the recent banner schedule is insane. so man new chars so many almost must have banners. imagine from ruan mei (best meta support) into black swam ( best dot sub dps and support) into sparkle (best support for mono quantum and skill point hungry dps) after you have acheron (probably gonna be best dps) and adventurine (best follow up sustain ) all of these units are almost essential to complete these teams xD. when are the reruns with no new units?
Acheron seems to need a quite specialised account so I will probably wait for her rerun since I will probably have the resources she needs (a fitting nihility ligthcone and multiple well builded nihility supports) at that point just by playing normally. But I still love her animations, she is really cool.
Yes that is very clever, so can get her with\after she gets her 5 star partner and avoid building 4 star characters for her just to bench them in 2 month, like my Luka and Guineifen now.
If you don’t have at least s2/3 gnsw or kafkas lightcone, then her options are tough. However even many f2p have gnsw and pela/guinaifen so I think no she’s a pretty safe pickup for even f2p
Both, I am now skipping my guaranteed sparkle for both, they work soo well on a team and its becomes a pretty SP positive team because of that. And for a team where you need to E like every time, being able to make it SP positive is big W

I’m getting both I’m a big fan of preservation so Aventurine is a must. Acheron was a last minute decision. If I lose 50/50 on her I’m guaranteed Aventurine. If I don’t i’d get both Acheron and Aventurine win/win

I am a man of the ideology of “fuck the enemies first, deal with the consequences later”, so I likely won’t be going with adventurine unless I get archeon early, but even then if im correct louchas coming back soon, so my imbibitor lunae semi-mono build will be pretty much complete
Acheron's animations is the reason why she'll be the first 5 star I pull Edolons for... her E2 makes it that you only need 1 Nihility character instead of 2 to get the max buff, which is huge for team comps, and since she ignores weakness types, I already have the perfect team for her with Acheron / SilverWolf / Sparkle / FuXuan, I feel sad I have to bench Selee since she's my first 5 star, but power creep is real and it happened to her 😥
Get her LC instead and use your pulls on someone else, Acheron doesn’t get much better until you hit E6, her light cone makes her way better than E1 and E2 would (E1’s entire main effect got included into her base kit recently)
The fact that Acheron's Ultimate ignores weakness types just makes her a no-brainer... Her animations and damage potential are too insane to ignore. (plus she's mommy :3)

I want to try playing Aventurine with my Topaz, Ratio and Silverwolf. I don't care if have pull for every sustain except Huohuo and have Gepard E3 (he can froze literaly everything. I am free to play, he just comes a lot even when I have low pity)
I think aventurine will be like huohuo in terms of community perception pre release - in the sense that her healing was doomposted (for some reason) and her buffs were compared to harmony units so she came up short. basically i feel like his dmg and sustain power will be looked at individually and community perception will not be justified 😖
Aventurine and Huohuo are nothing like each other. i don't like huohuo kinda regretted pulling her because she doesn't feel comfy like my Luocha. Aventurine is much more like fu xuan and people are calling him the second fu xuan situation. So he isnt being doomposted. However im pretty sure a lot of people are going to hate on him so they feel better about pulling their waifu and not be tempted by how good he is. It's a tactic they always use when they think with their peen for pixel mommys they tend to slandder who ever is next to them.

Nah, Fr. I just decided that I needed to pull Fu and Topaz for more sustain and supporting Ratio respectively. Then they both get reruns when I saved up to pull Adventurine and Acheron. Too many decisions to make now lol.
Acheron no brainer. If you have Luocha, Huohuo or even FX you don't need another sustain. Acheron is a DPS designed with longevity in mind. Kit aside, Aven's animation and design pale in comparison to Acheron's. Pull for what you think is gonna worth your special passes.
I'm pulling for Sparkle and I already have 68 pity. But if I lose the 50/50 I'm not sure whether to continue pulling for her or saving the guarantee for Acheron. But I will be pulling on Acheron and Aventurine banners either way. I really hope the RNG somehow blesses me and I get all 3 of them (which is highly unlikely but let me dream XD).
Honestly, this is exactly why fun > meta. I feel like once you can do most of the harder content in the game, it just becomes a lot more enjoyable trying out new playstyles. Nowadays I just find myself pulling for characters I enjoy character and gameplay-wise and trying out different mechanics.
Also PLEASE NOTE that Fu Xuan is getting a rerun with Acheron, and Topaz with Aventurine!!!!!! I'm going for Fu on her rerun because i wanna get her and sparkle for quantum craziness >:D (and then PRAY for Acheron. I really want her)

You shouldn't bother pulling Acheron if you don't also pull for her signature LC. Who cares about her damage ceiling when it's locked behind eidolons and signature LC, most players will never see that ceiling. Why didn't you talk about her damage floor at E0S0? You suggested pulling support over DPS. The reason supports are better than DPS is because they fit in all teams and will build your account regardless of your current roster. Acheron is the antithesis of that idea, so you just contradicted yourself when you say she's a "must-pull DPS". Of all DPS, she has the most restrictive teambuilding requirements.
Definitely going for Adventurine, even tho I already have all sustains in this game. Since every sustaine has it's own value and usage, I feel like all of them are must pull units. They can release contents where requires or benefits you from having a sheild just like how they released a bunch of enemies with debuffs after releasing Fuo Fuo. And for Acheron, since she is electro it doesn't need to be her at all since Jing Yuan and Kafka exists already, and both of them are capable to clear both Moc and Pure Fiction. Another op sustain unit is more important then another good electro dps when I already have 2 of them already. There is enough ways to kill enemies already in this game, but not enough ways to keep your team alive yet in my opinion.
I think an Acheron welt pela team would end up being so fun. With how much damage Acheron does, you might even be able to skip a sustain and put in a buffer

IF ANYTHING, the most important thing to remember is that team building matters the most in HSR. It doesn't matter how OP one singular unit is, the moment you add in different supports and other team comps- that's where you can find the true value that a character holds.
With that being said, I'm being so greedy right now but I really hope that I'm able to pull for Aventurine and Topaz... A follow-up centered team of Dr. Ratio, Topaz, Ruan Mei, and Aventurine just sounds sooo so good. Extremely skill point efficient as well. What with Ruan Mei buffing pretty much everyone in the team and just allowing them to go ham on everything...

@@josephoyek6574 If you're using it for Simulated Universe? Nah, not at all. For normal content though, and especially MoC you'll probably struggle with a lack of skill points.
Also I just learned the devastating news that without Aventurine's E1- you can't spam follow-up attacks to charge his own stacks. Limiting him to just 1 stack per any ally's follow up (he needs 7 to perform his own)
If Aventurine didnt have anyone else competing. I would have pulled for him since he fits perfectly into my playstyle.
Since Acheron is here though, I am pulling for her because I just to absolutely with extreme vigor and fury without restraint, to just mercilessly, WRECK everything!!!!!

@@sparklingcutie Aventurine gives effect res, crit dmg, massive stackable shields and decent aoe damage with his follow ups and sp positive. Meanwhile Gepard just has a barely decent shield thats tied to his ultimate and runs out pretty quick if characters have extra turns like Jingliu or if you use Bronya.. Theyre not even comparable.

You made a really good point about every team running the same duo support of Ruan Mei, Bronya/Sparkle can make it stale. Plus we still have so many other potential Nihility characters in the future that might just make E0 Acheron even better than launch. We see this first hand with Kafka and Topaz just getting better indirectly

Kafka was good on release tho despite some nerfs it didn’t change how she played. Unless future units provide her with stacks towards her ult I doubt she will get any better.

As long as we get a Nihility/Harmony/Sustain that applies 1 debuff on their turn, one on ult and one on enemy turn, we're golden.
@@GamingFreakShow1991 That’s a lot of maybes to consider and makes her feel like Jing Yuan where you have to run specific units to make her work. You need a welt and pela imo to get the debuffs but welt is SP hungry. F2P won’t have enough to go for Sparkle AND Acheron. Hanya is Ok but running to debuffs and one harmony for SP isn’t going to be efficient because it takes too long for her to do damage.
Also Ruan Mei/Bronya/Sparkle meta us HSR own dault because 4 star harmony units are garbage of Tingyun. Kafka and Topaz are bad comparisons because they were good on release and we knew they would get better. Acheron is more like Jing Yuan because they are both slow to do big damage and need specific units in order to work whereas Kafka and Topaz can be paired with any dot or follow up attacker respectively
Personally... Skipping Sparkle and Acheron for Aventurine. I love my sustains, but im a lover of tanks that also do dmg.... And it also makes me start building my tanks as well to further build that preservation team i always wanted to build for stuff like swarm, gng, and just the sim uni grind.

Honestly I think I'm going for Aventurine(If I win the 50/50 for him) Acheron is awesome, don't get me wrong, but my ocd is so severe that I'm addicted to having my units taking zero damage. Plus I'm a sucker for shields(Getting Gepard early is the source of this) And I got more preservation lc than nihility ones. Tldr, I'm pulling for who I like.

Great video! I really like that you are very objective and you did not bash another unit in favour of another because both are great picks depending on your wants and needs.
I'd argue no one here in this game is a must pull because investment matters the most, but then there is a saying "supports are forever" so the likes of RM and Sparkle will be so good for anyone then there's Aventurine who will surely be a top tier sustain.
Honestly, I'm going for Aventurine cause I've been wanting him ever since even tho i have Luocha, Fu Xuan, and Gepard. Aventurine seems to be a dps buffer sustain hybrid so i'm sure he will be great to buff overall dps too contrary to just using a purely sustain character like gepard and luocha.

Hobestly unbiased opinion, from a sheerly meta perspective, pull Aventurine. Great supports will always be more valuable than great dps. Sure, she might be a great dps, but dps is easily replaced and can't be used for all content

I'm like... damn... I need a second sustain to help me with MoC floor 11 and 12. But Acheron speedrunning SU looks super satisfying, but that ultimate... that's super super satisfying. I have to go for both. As someone that never buys the top-ups only monthly welkins and battlepass. I just hope I get lucky and don't lose a 50/50... Hopefully anniversary brings us many pulls!

honestly the recent banner schedule is insane. so man new chars so many almost must have banners. imagine from ruan mei (best meta support) into black swam ( best dot sub dps and support) into sparkle (best support for mono quantum and skill point hungry dps) after you have acheron (probably gonna be best dps) and adventurine (best follow up sustain ) all of these units are almost essential to complete these teams xD. when are the reruns with no new units?
Acheron seems to need a quite specialised account so I will probably wait for her rerun since I will probably have the resources she needs (a fitting nihility ligthcone and multiple well builded nihility supports) at that point just by playing normally.
But I still love her animations, she is really cool.

Yes that is very clever, so can get her with\after she gets her 5 star partner and avoid building 4 star characters for her just to bench them in 2 month, like my Luka and Guineifen now.
If you don’t have at least s2/3 gnsw or kafkas lightcone, then her options are tough. However even many f2p have gnsw and pela/guinaifen so I think no she’s a pretty safe pickup for even f2p

I’m getting both I’m a big fan of preservation so Aventurine is a must. Acheron was a last minute decision. If I lose 50/50 on her I’m guaranteed Aventurine. If I don’t i’d get both Acheron and Aventurine win/win

Acheron's animations is the reason why she'll be the first 5 star I pull Edolons for... her E2 makes it that you only need 1 Nihility character instead of 2 to get the max buff, which is huge for team comps, and since she ignores weakness types, I already have the perfect team for her with Acheron / SilverWolf / Sparkle / FuXuan, I feel sad I have to bench Selee since she's my first 5 star, but power creep is real and it happened to her 😥
Get her LC instead and use your pulls on someone else, Acheron doesn’t get much better until you hit E6, her light cone makes her way better than E1 and E2 would (E1’s entire main effect got included into her base kit recently)
The fact that Acheron's Ultimate ignores weakness types just makes her a no-brainer... Her animations and damage potential are too insane to ignore. (plus she's mommy :3)

I think aventurine will be like huohuo in terms of community perception pre release - in the sense that her healing was doomposted (for some reason) and her buffs were compared to harmony units so she came up short. basically i feel like his dmg and sustain power will be looked at individually and community perception will not be justified 😖

Aventurine and Huohuo are nothing like each other. i don't like huohuo kinda regretted pulling her because she doesn't feel comfy like my Luocha. Aventurine is much more like fu xuan and people are calling him the second fu xuan situation. So he isnt being doomposted. However im pretty sure a lot of people are going to hate on him so they feel better about pulling their waifu and not be tempted by how good he is. It's a tactic they always use when they think with their peen for pixel mommys they tend to slandder who ever is next to them.

Nah, Fr. I just decided that I needed to pull Fu and Topaz for more sustain and supporting Ratio respectively. Then they both get reruns when I saved up to pull Adventurine and Acheron. Too many decisions to make now lol.

Acheron no brainer. If you have Luocha, Huohuo or even FX you don't need another sustain. Acheron is a DPS designed with longevity in mind. Kit aside, Aven's animation and design pale in comparison to Acheron's. Pull for what you think is gonna worth your special passes.
I'm pulling for Sparkle and I already have 68 pity. But if I lose the 50/50 I'm not sure whether to continue pulling for her or saving the guarantee for Acheron. But I will be pulling on Acheron and Aventurine banners either way. I really hope the RNG somehow blesses me and I get all 3 of them (which is highly unlikely but let me dream XD).

Honestly, this is exactly why fun > meta. I feel like once you can do most of the harder content in the game, it just becomes a lot more enjoyable trying out new playstyles. Nowadays I just find myself pulling for characters I enjoy character and gameplay-wise and trying out different mechanics.

You shouldn't bother pulling Acheron if you don't also pull for her signature LC. Who cares about her damage ceiling when it's locked behind eidolons and signature LC, most players will never see that ceiling. Why didn't you talk about her damage floor at E0S0?
You suggested pulling support over DPS. The reason supports are better than DPS is because they fit in all teams and will build your account regardless of your current roster. Acheron is the antithesis of that idea, so you just contradicted yourself when you say she's a "must-pull DPS". Of all DPS, she has the most restrictive teambuilding requirements.
Definitely going for Adventurine, even tho I already have all sustains in this game. Since every sustaine has it's own value and usage, I feel like all of them are must pull units. They can release contents where requires or benefits you from having a sheild just like how they released a bunch of enemies with debuffs after releasing Fuo Fuo. And for Acheron, since she is electro it doesn't need to be her at all since Jing Yuan and Kafka exists already, and both of them are capable to clear both Moc and Pure Fiction. Another op sustain unit is more important then another good electro dps when I already have 2 of them already. There is enough ways to kill enemies already in this game, but not enough ways to keep your team alive yet in my opinion.

I think an Acheron welt pela team would end up being so fun. With how much damage Acheron does, you might even be able to skip a sustain and put in a buffer
With RM + Welt you don't take much damage so I'd say you're cooking

I am having a CRISIS- I’ve been wanting Jing Yuan ever since he was shown at the start of the game, and I WAS planning on pulling for him in about 3 days, but now idk if I’m going to or not. ;-; I had a plan to get Jing Yuan, and then save up everything for Adventurine- but now I want Acheron as well. My poor f2p sell is struggling
