Tabgha | The Church of Loaves and Fish

Israel video tour with David Hyman, professional Israeli guide. Our tour takes us to the northern shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus of Nazareth performs many of his miracles. The multiplication of the loaves and fish appears in Luke's Gospel and happens at the end of the day. The Miracles was commemorated by a rock that was used to place the bread and around the rock, a small church was built during the late 4th century AD. The pilgrim Egeria visited the holy land and writes about this rock. In the 5th century, a second church was built and the floor was covered with beautiful mosaic scenes of nature. Both the rock and the mosaics can be seen today.
The most famous scene is of the basket of loaves of bread and the fish.
