For those asking about the Guided Upright tool in LR: The Guided Upright tool is for vertical alignment; it is not intended for horizontal alignment, which is the critical element shown here for nailing SPP geometry. Additionally, anything automated...like Guided Upright...works "some" of the time, but not "all" of the time. So knowing the techniques shown here you'll have a more accurate approach to qualifying your geometric corrections...including horizontal alignment.
Thanks Nathan this is great, I find with my SPP I am using rulers and guides, but the distort or transform tools instead of the rotate adjustment tools in Camera Raw as I didn't think of that. I can't wait to try this! Cheers :)
I just watched this video after watching one of your 2 year old videos and wow it just dawned on me how much your production quality of your tutorials has gone up since then lol. Your lighting is on point these days Nathan! Lol. Looks awesome! So just out of curiosity, how long does it typically take you to shoot a house? I just did a shoot a few days ago and I’m still pretty new to doing real estate photography professionally and it still takes me sooooo long on site, to the point where it’s kind of embarrassing and I’m afraid I’m giving bad impressions because of my speed. Things like constantly checking to make sure the picture isn’t blurry, the exposures turned out well, multiple shots for flambient editing later, making sure all the verticals and horizontals are perfect, etc definitely makes it take a lot longer than just clicking and going. Is it okay to be a bit slower if the quality of your work can justify it? I just have huge attention for detail so I check EVERYTHING between every shot. Thanks for the video Nathan!

Hi Nathan. Do you turn the lens into manual mode to hold focus when stepping into the frame to bounce additional light. I’m curious if the camera changes focus. Thanks 🙏
How many shots/angles of a room do you typically do? It was suggested to me (by a company that does volume real estate shoots), to not show the third wall. I interpreted it meant not showing space limitations, giving the brain, more than the eye, a sense of the infinite. But with this SPP, it seems this wouldn't apply. So if a room is narrow, it will be revealed. I had been shooting straight-on sometimes over dining tables and beds, not aware of the principle. But I am still looking for SPP's advantage over the angled shot…

Nope, I get a good focus point and stick with it.
