10:00 To be faaaaiiiirrrr, Paul's situation was only so bad because Zenith was the ONLY follower of the ONLY monogamous culture in the ENTIRE WORLD (if I remember right) and was EXTREMELY SPECIFIC and EXPLICITLY CLEAR that that was the ONE - *SINGLE* - thing he had to compromise on for her.
Honestly in a lot of ways Paul's glassing cities and getting his 5th yacht sanctioned while Rudy's setting his house on fire and getting tried in the Hague, at least with a lot of viewers' reactions.

The whole talk about the harem route remind me that in the Mushoku world there is only one country that doesn't recognize polygamy as valid/legal, the holy country of Millis
A clue to the Man God-Roxy relation would be the moment from the first season, the last time she and Rudy were near each other. The port city on the Demon Continent, where they missed each other by a few streets. It was also the same moment Man God gave Rudy information needed to find Kishirika - a task that occupied him fully for a week, the time was needed to adjust to the Eye of Foresight.
"They felt more like the canon couple" oh if they only knew...
The real cannon couple is Nanahoshi and Rudeus :v

Rudy did not intentionally hide the fact that he was married. He was just not that sensitive and did not realize how Roxy felt about him, so he wouldn't realize that he needs to clarify something with Roxy.

From what I've heard, it does omit quite a few of the finer details from the source material that make it feel more natural.
I dont think so. Since they talk about if its going to be a harem then the character's should talk it out which they did.
@@superiorserperior6909 Well no, it isn’t about the details omitted in the last few episodes, it’s about all of the details about world-building omitted from Season 1 to the end of Season 2.
For example, the Millis Religion looks like a great religion from the Anime only perspective right? Marry only one person sounds great, yeah?
Counterpoint: Millis religion tolerates incest marriages, Millis religion is also racist towards the other races, most of all the Demons because Saint Millis was part of the Great Human-Demon War. The racism was encountered as early as when Ruijerd was passing through with Eris and Rudeus in Millishion which was omitted in Season 1.
I won’t say anymore about that topic for the sake of sparing you from possible spoilers.
A lot of cultures like the recent Begaritt visit in the Anime, were omitted that creates a bigger picture on what is the world’s standard morals, ethics, and other viewpoints. Did you know that Female adventurers in Begaritt are valued tenfold? Succubi attacks are common in the continent, and Mages are sparse there (No detoxify magic), which means females have to sleep with male adventurers in order to snap them out of the charm magic (which persists even after the succubus dies). Males and Females there don’t necessarily marry, and usually the children born from adventuring are left to be cared for in villages but are treated very well as to honor the Female adventurer like a Veteran Soldier’s prestige.
The Light Novel is an absolute masterpiece and I think Studio Bind is fighting an uphill battle very well, but it’s impossible to fit every detail in 3 volumes per 12 episodes. The incoming Season 3 Part 1 is the biggest and strongest portion of Mushoku’s story and the weight of every moment will be determined by how much they Animate.
They'll be assblasted at ep 23 but they'll come to terms with it after the last ep i think
@@vagoerrante The Mushoku Light Novel is great, I highly recommend. Honestly, I started with the manga before it got animated, I watched the Anime up to S2 Cour 1 and couldn’t wait anymore so I read the LN because I got really sick just this last December. I remember recovering and I was so addicted to finding out what happens after every volume that I got through Christmas and New Years so quickly.
I was very bad at walls of text prior to reading the LN btw, it was my first attempt at reading a Light Novel at all. The story was just so good that I went through it all.
If you wanna hop onto the LN, Mushoku Season 3 Cour 1 will be Volumes 13 to 15, THE UNANIMOUS BEST PART OF MUSHOKU. The extra details in the LN will be worth it I swear.
Sylphie literally did give him a pass, she said he could get a concubine if she couldn't get pregnant because of her elf blood, she figured she might have trouble conceiving and was fine with another woman coming in. Polygamy is not weird at all in this world, that should be very obvious already. This feels like a complete non-issue from every angle except the viewers 21st century western morals.
Even funnier, polygamy is considered fairly normal basically _everywhere_ except with those who practice the Milis religion.

See, there's a disconnect between the two halves of the Mushoku Tensei fans, that stems from one simple issue this story has - Rudy is almost never meaningfully punished for being a scumbag by the standards he spent 40+ years living by.
- Grooming multiple girls since they were like 8 to be his wife? Totally fine, have some furry maids while you're at it, on the house.
- Constantly viewing women as sex objects and being a horndog in general? That's the standard in this world, tf you on about?
- Having relations with multiple women at the same time? Basically everyone does that, why are you acting weirded out?
Rudy grows throughout the series, but it's usually not because he sees the bad consequences of his actions, the world actively rewards him for them.
And there are two ways to look at this situation. The first is to just accept it all as is - this show is a character study of a guy in a different world with different morals, that just so happen to be the exact thing he was looking for in his sick fantasies while jerking at lolis for 20 years. Or it's a show which, despite the protagonist being his own person, is still a wish fulfillment story about a guy, whom after his death becomes the best there ever was, gets 3 wives at the same time and is respected by everyone.
No matter how justified polygamy or whatever else we consider fucked up by today's standards is in the story, you can't really remove the meta context of it being an isekai, where a dude gets to indulge in his base desires with very few consequenses, despite the hardships he goes through in other aspects. That's how a lot of people will continue to view this show, because it doesn't really disprove that.
I'm really eager to see what a bunch of sane people like those two would have to say about episode 11, reading the comments will also be a riot.

This whole drama with Roxy is due to Rudeus putting rules on himself.
He is living in a world with polygamy, his wife clearly said she was okay with another wife, yet he still promises her to not take any other wife even though he has a fucking shrine for another womens panties at the moment.
I can't believe the jinshi is the emperor guys are the only ones to notice the anti-roxy agenda of the man-god.

🤔🤔 Remember that the gods can't perceive the time line of iseky people, so He could not foresee that the other girl was going to help Rudeus with the teleportation circles 🤓 go back to the episode where he met the dragon god and listen to the conversation they had. He was supposed to take longer to get there and therefore he would have lost roxy. And on the way back, it would have taken just as long or longer, and something would have happened to Sylvie. Remember, he was supposed to regret something whether he went or not. 🧐

They tend to go at their own pace with that stuff. They definitely miss out on the first couple days of hype train views for new episodes

@@vagoerrante Frieren's story is overdramatized trash that falls apart with every new addition and Dungeon Meshi is just another silly comedy, I'll take something like Salad Bowl of Eccentrics over both of them.
