  • Who knew Backwards Walking would have so many benefits?
    Although you can look quite silly walking around backwards in our modern day society, it's definitely something that should be done more.
    Here I describe the benefits it can bring in:
    brain function
    leg muscle activation
    mobility
    Apart from all these benefits its just an enjoyable way to move your body a little different from what it's used to.

    I used to walk about half the distance (~1.5km) backwards from the railway station to my home after my concerts in Müpa & Liszt Academy. Maybe I'll make a habit of it again. I arrived after midnight, people rarely saw me.
    For posture pull ups are king.

      Oh that’s so cool! Maybe you could bring them back in, I do enjoy mixing it up and walking backwards when I can. And yes pull-ups are the best!

    In fact, I do it sometimes when I'm walking the dog (in the forest when nobody is around). Didn't know that it has so many benefits. But good to know :)

      Oh that’s a good idea too! I sometimes wish I had a dog to make my walks more exciting!
