- The eldest son of the Indian woman who fell into a sinkhole at Jalan Masjid India pleaded, "Please save my mother," upon arriving at the scene.
The son, Surya, age 26, was emotionally distraught and had to be consoled by family and friends after rushing from Thailand to witness the rescue efforts.
Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Dr Maimunah Mohd Shariff visited the location and spoke to the victim's husband with the help of an interpreter.
She assured the family that Kuala Lumpur City Hall would provide any necessary assistance during the ongoing search and rescue operation.
The victim, Vijayaletchumy, 48, was due to return to India with her family after a two-month visit to Malaysia when she fell into a sinkhole along Jalan Masjid India.

Please ask for professional help.
They are doing everything possible to find her .
The one thing they can.t do is dig the rubble out because it may cause the surroundings to collapse and surely that will be worse for her and the surrounding area .
What actually happened to her lile how she dissappeared is there a hole there???...
@@Berrygirl6784
There is a huge hole there about 8 mtrs deep .
There is the possibility that debris could have covered her completely .
That's my opinion of what could have happened , may not be so .
The problem is that they can't excavate without further debris falling down from the sides as the whole place is probably unstable .
Are they now?
So incompetent
How can't you find a person who fell into a hoke...can imagine what would happen if more demanding rescue is needed...so incompetent
No search dogs or high tech equipment?
Is long time right?
the pdrm said nope
Have to search other places oso
The search and rescue team is too slow. Poor woman.
