Pretty cool just found this video. I live about 15 mins from there and hike there all the time. Nice walk up the river and some decent views above rt 8. Looks pretty with all the ice.

This was another awesome State Park. Beautiful creek and little waterfalls it had. I'm glad you guys turned around and didn't walk over the ice especially with the dog. It sucks to have to turn around and I've had to do it before but it's all about safety 1st. Great video guys and looking forward to the 2nd part. Shane I don't know you've ever heard of it but tomorrow I'm leaving to go to Chiricahua National Monument in Arizona. It's a pretty good size park with cool rock pinnacles.

I can't tell you how many times I've been out on my van, get 99% of the way there, and then have to decide that my van is an off-road vehicle. 😀 Very nice place. Really impressed at how frequently you guys get out!
Lol, yea we definitely weren't expecting the road conditions. It was hard to tell from that camera angle, but some of those puddles were a good 6-8 inches deep lol. Glad we had the extra clearance with the truck that particular day. We try to get out every single weekend if possible. :) Barely got out this weekend due to the weather, but still got a short hike in haha. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by! - Shane

I am just about to post a video on hiking in Naugatuck State forest and decided to see if anyone else has....I think you are it :). While I have been all over other sections of the forest, I have never hiked the section you did. I'll have to check it out.
Haha yea, I think my wife and I hit up most of the western side of Connecticut but never did get too far east. Naugatuck might be the farthest northwest we went on our adventures there. Hello fellow Shane! Really appreciate all the support, it is really fun filming our little adventures. :) We try to make 1-2 big trips each year either to national parks or visiting family in other parts of the country. With Connecticut being such a small state, it isn't too hard to drive 2-3 hours in any direction and explore some different states. So we do try to explore, NY, MA, RI a little bit when we can. Mostly been sticking to CT here in the winter time, but will be taking our RV a bit further our once the weather warms up a bit and we can de-winterize the RV. Haha, there is a Saugatuck Falls Natural area in Connecticut. :) Beautiful area. Not necessarily snowed in with the truck, but not a fan of hiking through 6 inches of snow myself lol. Thanks for coming along! - Shane

Moved to SWFL in 93. Only thing I miss in CT are the parks. This is a great park most don’t even bother to check out.
