You should defo go for a skate trip somewhere. Going to new places is what I love best about skating. Especially if they are as good as Paris. Paris is just the best for skating.
Mate what a video this is! Ive heard you mention a couple of these spots and seen the parks in your videos butndidnt realise the extent that Paris embraced skating and the plazas/integrated parks available. Gonna surprise the wife to a trip to Paris 😂
That is what I did for my wife's birthday. Booked the trip to Paris to celebrate her 40th and took my board along with us lol. Would love to go with a group of skaters though and just cruise the city looking for spots.
I have never been to Barcelona but I know its a legendary city for skateboarding. I would love to go there. However, I feel from what I have seen and heard its up there as a close second to Paris. I say second just because they don't do what Paris does, they don't build skateparks in city streets or transform one of the main squares into a skate plaza. Yes, they have street spots for days but so does Paris and to be fair I could probably name more famous street spots from Paris than I can Barcelona. That said one thing Barcelona does have going for it is the weather. Barcelona does have better skate weather overall.
@@JeanYvesQanonAngel Lyon probably does have better skateparks but not sure on the street spots. Yeah they have one or two but nothing like Paris or Barcelona. Paris is just better all round. Some other city's might be better in certain areas of skating but Pairs is just all round great.
@ Lyon does not have better skateparks, it’s one of the best city in Europe to skate. Lyon is not a big city, so you have streets spots so close to each other. When foreigners come skate here they are amazed by the friendly atmosphere here, it’s close to like barcelona feeling. I loved paris but it’s too big. Cool if you are a tourist i’d say.
@@JeanYvesQanonAngel Quai Rambaud Skatepark by the river is a cool park. As for street spots only one I really know of is Place Louis Pradel. I would love to go skate Lyon though. Before Covid hit I had a trip planned were I was going hit Paris, Lyon and Marseille. Never happened though and after Covid couldn't get the guys that were coming with me to go. Hopefully I'll get to Lyon and Marseille one day.
I never imagined Paris being a city for skateboarding. I do see what you mean though. I thought more of like Los Angeles. It's cool to see that that city is taking time to accommodate for skateboarders. Even if not all of it is perfect, I'd be grateful to have plazas like those skate. Great video Matt. 🤙
The one thing Paris has going for it over any American city is the fact they are ok with you skating in the streets. You always see people getting kicked out of spots in places like Los Angeles. When I was younger I always thought USA had the best places to skate but now I feel Europe has taken over.
@amskateboards I agree. I'll take your word on that. I've heard Copenhagen is also very welcoming of skateboarding street as well. In Japan. It's way more strict there. They'll kick you out just for holding your board on the property.

Dude if you set up a skate trip I'd be there tomorrow. I have always wanted to go on a mini skate tour. Paris, Lyon and Marseille would be a sick line up. I have looked at this before. You go Paris for 2 days then travel to Marseille on train stopping off in Lyon on the way for the day. Then have 2 days in Marseille. Bit of a long trip though 5 days without the family really, but I would love to do it. Failing that just a 2 day trip to Paris or Barcelona.
