One of my favorite JG scores. The creativity on display here is absolutely unbelievable. Theme after theme after theme. All unique. All satisfying. Enough themes here for half a dozen films. Landmark masterpiece score. And a master class in how to write music for film.
I agree, when I first heard his theme from Star Trek TMP I thought it was okay but on repeat listens over the last few years I've come to realise just how wonderful it is.

Movies that would've been forgotten hadn't Jerry scored them. There will never be another one like him.
Hopefully someone does spring up one day with his skill one day again.

Thing I like about JG scores is that they grow on you, don't get it first time but then layers unfold with each listen!
