How to Get a Haircut in English

I didn't know about the difference between barber shop and hair salon when I first arrived in Ireland.
In Spain we just have hair salon, and they use to be unisex.
Anyway, so I just went to a fancy hair salon thinking that was the only place where you can cut your hair.
I was suspiciously the only man in the salon, they served me nice tea plus Belgium biscuits and carefully cleaned my hair.
I was quite surprised of how good the service was.
But, time to pay came and... Boom! 50€ for a simple cut...
Whilst in Spain it costs around 15-20€.
That was my first and last time in a hair salon and the beginning of the barber shop era.
