Both sides are exactly the same:

What's more, both are afraid of the other side coming over and eradicating them so they want to beat them to the punch.
And finally, both are willing to sacrifice innocent people for their cause.

My guess is that the bloodlines in Paradis Island which were immune to the Founder's mind-swipe powers back in S3 are not Subjects of Ymir. The Orientals, Mikasa's maternal line for example.

No, Mikasa is just in love with Eren. It has nothing to do with brainwashing. The Ackermans were created to protect the Eldian king, which is why they have the strength of the titans in human form. But they have no mental conditioning.
