Lucknow is home to many historical sites, including the Bara Imambara complex, which was built between 1785 and 1791 by the Nawab of Awadh. The complex includes a labyrinth of interconnected passageways that lead to the cemetery of Asaf-ud-Daula and a replica of the tomb of Mohammed in Mecca, as well as colorful chandeliers and no support pillars.
Another landmark is Rumi Darwaza, a sixty-foot-tall example of Awadhi architecture built in 1784. Finally, the British Residency was built between 1780 and 1800 and was the subject of the Siege of Lucknow in 1857 during the Indian Rebellion.
Of course, you can’t visit Lucknow without experiencing its phenomenal cuisine. The kebabs at Tunday Kebabi are among the tastiest in all of India. It’s worth it to travel to Lucknow just to have these kebabs!
While visiting Lucknow, visitors should take advantage of the opportunity to explore these historic sites. Hiring an English-speaking guide is highly recommended to ensure that visitors get the most out of their experience.
But while it’s easy to tell you all about Lucknow, it’s better if I show you…

Awesome video 💕
Good morning David. This is by far the best video I have seen of you anywhere in India. Let me tell you why. It's clean, though some places, not so much, especially in the crowded areas. But it was a nice change. I had to skip part of the mosque because I am very claustrophobic: couldn't watch those very narrow passageways. Everywhere you went was so huge and beautifully built. I love all the food and the paratha looked so good. Nice of you to do the meet and greet with some of your fans. What did you do with the portrait? Your host, Aishu, is very easy on the eyes: handsome guy.🤗. When you said that you were sick, I remember you saying that you got sick in Delhi. Anyway, you know I always say what a great job you do with your editing and continuity and this one was well done. Enjoyed it very much. It was a clean video in so many ways. Thank you. Have a great day and stay safe and blessed.🙏💛🤗🇹🇹🇨🇦
Glad David that you liked my city! It is a shame that I'm not in Lucknow to host you 😔. Would have been a pleasure to host you in my city. NEXT TIME
