    I am born and raised here in Atlanta. I wen to school at Mizzou and experienced my first car being buried in snow. I am glad I am back in Atlanta where it is warm and air conditioned. It is currently 60° here. I love your channel and am hopeful you will be doing another woodworking build soon. No pressure, just my selfish wish.

    It's a blessing in a way. You probably would have kept using it if the track hadn't broken and may have had an accident over.the winter season.
    So as you got all that extra use, it's a win win.

    Choosing tread pattern is always a balance. Aggressive treads will tear up the soil when turning, but smooth treads won't push. I don't know you well, but one thing I do know is that you do your research (and probably have a pro/con chart, lol), so that tread pattern must be the right one for you. At first, I thought that they are awfully aggressive, but once you got to the snowblower, it became obvious what your priority is.
    Life is about balance, and for each of us, that balance point is different. We should always work to understand that we all have different needs in our life and once we accept that, we can accept others as they are, rather than tearing them down just because they made a different decision than you would have.
    Philosophy aside, take a look at the old tracks and see if each track wears more on the inside or outside. If they do, you might consider swapping the tracks side to side midway through their life. I think Cat recommends that on their full size skiddys.

    12/3/22. Well 'Hello' from NewOrleans area! Burr..is a chilly 50 ° outside here as we sip our EggNog & decorate interiors for Chrismas...don't know what all that white stuff is on your Ponderosa (LoL)!
    Enjoyed watching you & Donavan build yur super Red Barn, wanna see more of your activities inside that huge, warm (floor radiant heating) natural window light & well (3" closed cell foam) insulated space. A perfect area for the next maintenance item (front tension wheel bearing) on yur SkidSteer. Will you bring the (now) longer band saw into the barn? Waiting to see more of your monster tree slab cutting...but hope you can rig-up a garden hose...& show us wood grain enthusiasts the natural beauty of (wood grain) 'character' by using the modern technology of instantaneous water wetting via nozzle spray rather than your old fashioned, intermittent, messy, time consuming... milk bucket slop-it-on method! I know it's hard to break old habits...but if you try your wife's garden hose & spray nozzle to quickly show us viewers beautiful wood grain after a slab cut...wow, efficiency would satisfy viewer curiosity & our pent-up anxiety would soothe & complete our EggNog time watching you create another great video! Stay safe Matt, carry on sir!👍👍👍🔧🔩⚙️🍷😊

These can sell for a value where by the hour they only cost $30 Very few wear points An engine overhaul is easy and a V A L U E or new build if one has time and space and no need for a second skid in daily operation.

    This was really interesting, but I, for one, would be quite interested to hear what recycling arrangements there are for the old treads. As an exemplary tree recycler with a substantial following, you should factor this in. It would also be great, but not perhaps neat, to see a bit of actual snowblowing.

    • @timothyball3144
      @timothyball3144 Рік тому

      The cost of disposal of the old tracks needs to be factored into the cost of buying them. They can be recycled and the steel recovered, but its not something that is done on a large enough scale to make it widely available. Too often, they just end up dumped into the landfill.
