Thank you so much for this recipe. I’m in the US and I use heavy cream on the keep warm setting for 12 hours and it works perfectly. I put mine directly in the slow cooker pot as I find that works for me.
I didn't know I could use my slow cooker for this, always wanted to try it but didn't want to use the oven for it so never bothered, thanks for this one 👏👏👍
Ok, I am confused. Just watched this other vid on making clotted cream in a slow cooker..OMG. This lady had all kinds of directions on how to do this using a slow cooker. First you put the cream in a glass bowl, cream must be one inch high. Then add water to the cooker until bowl floats. Then you set it on high until it reaches "A" particular temp on this probe that stays in the cooker for most of the cooking time. Then you have to make sure your lid is set askew so as to release any steam. Then you have to check every hour to make sure the water level is still floating the bowl!! I found this recipe and WOW, I just pop it in a bowl on low and walk away for 12 hours.
Oh, that sounds like a high-stakes cooking adventure! This works perfect Shirley I also have one for the oven on my channel. Would love to watch the video x Enjoy the clotted cream I love it. Must make some for Christmas x
@@ScrummyTV I was going to use the slow cook function on my instant pot. Since it has three settings for low, med & high, I wonder if the low setting would be right.

brilliant delighted to hear that. I will make it this way next time instead of the bowl. Hope you enjoy it x

You're welcome. Slow cookers are great as they are more economical than turning on the oven. Hope it goes well for you x
@@ScrummyTV Works great in the Instant Pot too, with the benefit of it shutting off automatically after 10 hours.

What temp do you think the slow cooker is?
mine has a warm setting - what settings does yours have?

I would try low :)
@@ScrummyTV i'm going to try it. Thank you for your input!
Let me know how you get on - I love clotted cream but can't get it anywhere local here x
what if mine doesn't have a Warm setting?
What settings are on your slow cooker?
I think you can put water in the bottom and raise the lid a bit to stop the heat getting too high if you use the low setting
Creme de leite sempre bom
adoro creme de leite, mas creme de leite tem um sabor diferente x
