This whole story truly had it all. The bartender is some character himself, then there was Perfectly Pure Tenshi both showing up her personality and unknowingly shutting down a flirting attempt. As she does.
Not sure if it was flirting, But more wanting to see a smile on Kanata face I guess it kinda flirting. Ether way he dug a hole giving Kanata a drink now the other want one too.

The impression I got was that the bartender thought Kanata was underage and so he treated her special since her 'older' friends were drinking. When I was younger and was out with my older cousins on family vacations, servers at restaurants, diners, and other food places often gave me something extra on the house just because I was the kid in the company of adults.

that's the bartending stuff. you have to entice people to try the drinks at the bar. fascinating thing is, that you can tell anything, really, to a guest at the bar and they would believe you (mostly because you are a bartender, hopefully, with more experience in drinks than they are). as for the "hundred year old recipe" is just another enticer for a guest. moscow mule was made in 40s, i believe, when vodka made its way into the US. you cant really blame him for making that up - they really did try the drink and they've liked it

Its cause creating a unique cocktail is like kinda science while also being an art you want it to be visually appealing but you also need somewhat precise measurements you need to flavor profiles of different mixers and how they enhance or compliment the flavor you want to achieve but you cant go overboard and mix to many things in and just have a bland "everything" flavored drink or overpower a certain flavor

Kanata sounded surprised at that half-elf’s behavior, but Akirose isn’t about to NOT drink a cocktail through her nose, given the opportunity. You can sorta tell based on her general disposition that she will try anything once, and do things “for the lulz” if the spirit moves her.

i have been watching a lot of streams of yakuza lately and i can easily see this as a side story in one of the games, kanata as the protagonist unlocked the side mission with the bartender.
also at 7:38 kanata claps her hands while laughing and i can't help but feel that the claps sound like the hit-markers of call of duty, as expected of the legendary 50k grip.
