❤ Found this pattern on Mood and liked it enough I decided to use it to learn how to sew. While the pattern is great, this video was more helpful than Mood’s resources. Why? Because as you’re explaining you’re also naming the techniques used so I can then look them up in my reference book and actually learn the technique. In my nativity I expected the pattern to specify the needed techniques but it didn’t!! So grateful I found your video 🤗
@@jaydingiesler5280 thank you for taking the time to leave a nice comment 🥰 Very happy this video was helpful - glad you’re learning to sew - it’s the best!! 😉
@@jennykevorkian6353 thank you for your comment. ❤️ It's a lovely pattern and I'm sure you'll make a great version. What fabric do you think you'll use?
hi! im planning on making this dress and using your tutorial, thank you so much for uploading the sew along!! im a bit tight on the fabric i wanted to use so i was wondering if i could cut the pieces mirrored instead of face to face? if so should i do this with the right side of the fabric facing up? and im aslo wondering when i cut the fabric on the fold if the right side of the fabric should be facing in or out? sorry for all the questions this is my first big project
Definitely can cut them separately (mirrored) vs face to face. And it does not matter which way you face the fabrics when on the fold. 🎉 Thanks for sewing with me 😊
Yes, they have seam allowances. 🥳 I think once you give them a go with a sew along it will quicky get familiar. For this one, the skirt panel notches are most important, but it's pretty straightforward.

I’m not sure yet, so many choices😊
@@jennykevorkian6353 yes, for sure. 😆. I have a lot of fun trying to decide the "perfect" stash fabric for different patterns. Happy hunting! ;)
Great tutorial, thanks!
Thank you!! ❤️
This was such a great Tutorial!!! Thank you!!
🥰 thank you. It's a great dress -- I keep telling myself I want to make it again -- maybe in a taffeta!

Which size did you choose here or do you choose in general for mood sewciety patterns? I'm struggeling with the sizes... 🥴
I believe I chose the smallest size. I do find the sizing chart to be accurate, so I went with my measurements and had no fit issues.
OK, thank you 🤗☺️ I think this will help me
What type of fabric did you use for the exterior? Im preparing to make this for myself actually
It is a thicker rayon, so it had a little bit of body to it. Beautiful dress -- glad you're making it. ❤️
I so want to sew this dress, but I am a bit intimidated by mood paterns, I don't know if they already have seam allowance and some symbols used.

@@Sew-Happy oh, good to know! I'm this close 🤏 to "Julie and Julia" the mood patterns.
@@marinavargas229 😂 It's a magnificent plan -- bon appétit!!!
