I stopped drinking about a month ago after 10 years this has been the longest I been sober. I really want to get sober this time but I'm feeling everything you just explained here in this video.. today I just feel off weird anxious just want to be left alone..
Absolutely insightful..totally explains my own cycle of relapse after quite a few years of sobriety. . Now I know & can do something to help myself out of the shame cycle ... When it gets sore enough ....I will look for release/ controle / release. And my life feels totally unmanageable & self pity defends my drinking .. Superb stuff x
When I was in rehab they said I was a strange alcoholic because I only drink wiskey and nothing else and I can quit for long periods and start drinking again I quit drinking for weeks or months just don't know how to quit again
I was sober for 4 years I never really lost the cravings I only drink wiskey don't know how that works don't drink beer or vodka or wine have no cravings for it but I will crave wiskey every few weeks or month don't know what the hell is wrong with me just get cravings for it some might be my colitis was using it for pain
This narcotic should be called Ethanol not Alcohol..because is few Alcohols but only one Ethanol. We should study what Ethanol really is and if human should drink it on absolutely any occasion.Take out Ethanol from all this drinks and then give people to drink for enjoyment :D :D :D

I don't know how I missed this video. It described me to a T! Wow Thank you Simon.
What if it is the drinking which CAUSES the shame?

I see the connection but just identifying it is enough? Or how do you break this thinking?

Sometimes the ethanol is what causes the enjoyment.
