The Church Forests of Ethiopia Resembling the Garden of Eden with Forest Ecologist Dr. Alemayehu Wassie.
In this video Dr. Alemayehu discusses how the forest of Ethiopia has been protected by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church. Over the past century, nearly all of Ethiopia`s native forests have been cleared to make way for farming and cattle grazing.
Since 1992, Forest Ecologist Dr. Alemayehu Wassie has been working with priests and communities to save Ethiopian`s rapidly shrinking church forests.
