As someone who's recently finished a reno, I know you said you're keeping an eye on costs; but find a way to match the external and internal height and tile finish. You'll really adore the seemless transition once done.
Hope all is well with you and the misses; take care mate!

Make sure the floor is sanded so the tiles do not delaminate, I’ve seen 4 houses that had tiles popping and thousands of pounds wasted due to not sanding 👍

Binge watched all your videos in the how-to and house build playlists and I’m finally up to date! House looks incredible man, really nice 🤘🏼Drawn a lot of very useful information and inspiration for my own garden landscaping job from you. Already built my retaining wall (you liked the pic on Instagram!) and just about to build the steps, then will look to get the sandstone patio laid and topsoil/turf in! Also great timing as I watched your surface/rainwater drainage vid and will now be sure to get that 2mm slant on my patio! Keep it up dude, I’m sure a lot of people around the globe are finding your vids hugely helpful, as am I.
Also, that’s comedy about that bug trail 😂😂

You can get external porcelain tiles which you lay on sand cement with a primer

Got tiles similar to that in my bathroom. White grout on the floor was a mistake. Walls look lovely but the heavy footfall areas are very grubby and horrible looking.

I know you have other matters to consider chap but as your instruction is so clear, I was wondering if you could do a vid on pointing and how to replace blown bricks in a wall please?

Brilliant again love the videos. On the porcelain you can lay 20mm porcelain outside on mot base and a mortar base and its better than indian sandstone in terms of its porosity value is so little maintenance is so low compared to all the high maintenance and sealing and cleaning of indian sandstone. As for the liquid screed i used it on an extension its good but you have to put a sealer type stuff on top for materials to stick to it so be careful im.sure u no about it .All is looking amazing very impressed.
    Justin brickright 👍🧱

Did you not fancy doing the underfloor heating yourself? I've got a green chesterfield armchair! Not sure the Mrs will let me have it in the barn once I'm finished though so I'm planning on building a cabin for that and my roll top Bath 😂

I could have done with one of those staple guns, I built a 40 sq m extension single handed a couple years ago and used the same staples for my underfloor heating my 75 year old back sure ached a lot I can tell you!

You’ll need to seal the sand stone will be algae in now with all them trees about. A would personally get a Indian sandstone effect 20mm porcelain tile some in not much more expensive than the sandstone maybe £200 a pack range. Kerakoll fugabella get 50 shades colour cement resin based grout. Or flowpoint great stuff also only grey or a natural colour. Brush stuff is poor will last 2-3 years then start crumbling. The natural Indian sandstone you ain’t going to get 5mm joint as to there off edges unless you get a smooth sandstone expensive which makes me think be better going with a porcelain sandstone effect tile 900x600 split bonded or 1200x600 tile 😜 be you will be glad when this is done buddy take care. 😎👍🏻

You can fit 20mm porcelain outside on full mortar bed, no need for concrete.
Get a similar colour to inside.
Indian stone prices gone crazy and porcelain not much more now.

Recommendation! Do not use white grout with your grey floor tiles...use light grey grout. You will never be able to keep the white looking white☹️
