Why only presented positive sides of demonetization ,you should explain all the dimension. Europe has done the demonetization and given the time limit of 2 years to exchange the currency but in our country finance minister was telling some date, home minister come up with different dates and finally prime minister have asked for 50 days. these all steps looks goods for exam and interview purpose but it not dealt with the actual issue what a common man facing from last 1 month .1) 100 plus people died ,they were not human being or what ,govt is not commenting on this issue even opposition had asked the same in both the houses .2) why the circulation of new money have not reached to the common man but its easy available to big man in this country ,why government or RBI has not taken any action against these people or banker who have distributed these money in bulk where the limit set by the government is only rs 2000/week. Is it not violating the constitutional provisions with respect to the human life and guaranteed by the Indian Constitution to every citizen of this country,. where the judiciary and I think judiciary have their own concern which limited to the collegium system ,they are not bother. See Amit I have no issue with presentation because it covers all aspects of economy for long run but i just would like to share my thoughts with you about the demonization.
So good? Then India should have demonetization regularly, say let do it every 2 years? Demonetize the new 2000 and 500 rupee notes again? Then print new version notes??
Rs 500 ($7) and 1000 ($15) notes are "high value' notes? Come off it, be real! Even domestic helps carry these notes routinely..... In 1978, when the last demonetisation took place, very few of us had seen a Rs10,000 or even 1000 rupee note!
Amit Very Well Said.. i saw both the videos on why Rs500 and Rs1000 notes were banned AND the above one. Small Suggestions 1. Can you please Merge both Videos into One. it makes sense to watch it as a whole story rather than 2 Parts. 2. Get a Hindi (&English) Verson of this with Hindi (& English) Titles...this merged video in Hindi can reach the masses via Social Media 3. tell the people "what is in it for them" .... like having cash in bank gives interest etc... Good job keep it up
Abhishek Sidhpura tu h modi tattu dalal, Jo aam citizens ko gali gundagardi karke unki awaaz dabana chahte h, are bharve tu kis kis ko dabayega aur marega? Ye modi shah bharvo ka gujraat nahi h, ek chote se state me modi shah ne logon ko control kar liya tha lekin pure desh me in kanjaron ki nahi chal sakti, so FUKK OFF! U MODI KA DALLA USKA MUH ME CHOOS
And still Reserve bank Doesn't tell the number on 500 and 1000 rupees notes that are deposited. I suspect about 99 percent of notes are changed and they cost of changing notes is far more than the gain and now banks have to give much more Interest. which will cost more and demonetization has become a Real blunder and now GDP growth is low as 6.1%
amit ... supposing throughout remonetization process 2000s versus new 500s were injected in fixed proportion of 1 : p has economics tried to figure out optimal p? this question is relevant because now rbi says that easing of queues has not happened because initially p was set to zero ... also now that we know certain amount of 2000s notes have been injected what should be optimal p going forward?
There's only one lesson behind Demonetization, Don't do it, Should not have been done. second only to the emergency in terms of sheer moronic implementation and idea
Normally we press reset button when some thing is not working properly but our Modi sir have hit reset button when the growth rate is high and when country is in fast pace of development
Theories when applied practically exactly the same way will make sense. But in India there have been so many cases of new currency scams which is a clear proof that it's very negative to the development of our country.
hope taxes r reduced.....for example when I purchased car I paid 26000 for road tax that day ...but when i am driving on Indian roads I may toll of course a kind of tax.....will all this stop NO..... HOPE FOR BEST IN COMING BUDGET
Thank you Mr. Amit, It was nice and informative. But, it has only side of the analysis, If can guide me on the adverse affect of demonitisation on Indian economy, that would be great.
People all over the world are losing faith in the failing Banking System, India is not going to be different. People will over the period lock the money in other forms. It is the intelligent people who were behind the failure of Banking System. They have no creditability in the minds of ordinary people. History speaks volume on those who tried to reign in on masses. Work done in haste go waste.
sir, are you assuming that post demonetization the practices of the individuals involved accumulating black money would change?? because that is the only way you can make any long term predictions
I am surprised how demonetization will stop or reduce corruption. above all government should be good till now in all over India did any politician not cought for having black money is that mean all our political leaders are good and only busines people and coman man have black money
Hey Economics guy, please answer one question - How much time should be given for demonetisation of those notes (1) that are used daily to buy food, clothes and essential commodities. (2) that constitute 86% of cash circulation in an economy. Would you recommend any govt to do that in an overnight announcement saying that after 4 hours majority of people's cash will become invalid tender?
Thanks. You have not only help indians in your lesson. In kenya we are starting Demonatization this June 2019 and i was more interested on economical impact of it and you have excellently made me understand. Thank you. God bless you. Cheers mate.
I agree that from now Govt is expected to collect more tax which as intended will accelerate the infrastructure developments. But since corruption in beurocracy is bread butter in India, how will that increased wealth of the Govt will actually help the developments, as the same will again be pocketed by the corrupts (beurocrats, contractors, etc)
Well put ...I think someone needs to come out with a video on the change people need to make in order to go digital which included behavioral change .... Paying everyone via a cheque/debit card/ internet banking/ credit card ....And this starts with every household ... increase use of plastic money ... there are lots of people who think they will go back to their old ways of using cash with notes which will not happen ...
I agree with your point with going cashless! And i think we can see that happening on eCommerce sites (there are big banners saying go cashless!), then even banks are rolling out special online services and many of such steps truly indicates that we are going to join developed nations in going cashless. And part of the reason is, if every transaction is wired then there will be an account of every penny that goes in and out of the economy. And the banking sector is pretty sorted out in terms of technology so i am just eager to see how will technology keep up with the demand of our massive population. I like your points!
Thank you, sir, for this brief presentation and explaining us on the hidden benefits of demonetization and it's consequent impacts on socioeconomic stratum. Excellent work, i'll wait for your videos on other topics too.
for such many more videos you may have look on it i gone through it you also like to watch this: ua-cam.com/play/PL_P3LWRX3ZmojY_HTIoTGvgWDcy02APxp.html

where is the results of this adventure ? Can government show the stats ?
Just talk.no result shown by govt...
It is said that the amount of black money got increased after this great adventure....

Can demonetization put the country on safe shore when financial crisis arises?
sir, are you assuming that post demonetization the practices of the individuals involved accumulating black money would change??
because that is the only way you can make any long term predictions
That was a useful one indeed. But,the last point- how can Demonetisation help in lowering dowry & other such evils?
What a waste of time.
I am surprised how demonetization will stop or reduce corruption. above all government should be good till now in all over India did any politician not cought for having black money is that mean all our political leaders are good and only busines people and coman man have black money
Excellent
sir, could you please make the video of ncert science from 6-10 standard? it would be a great help.
ShashiKanary to rapidly fill the 86% of blank space.
there is 2k note who fills twice speed as 1k note fill.
I see. :D Then why not bring Rs 5000/10000 notes. It will "fill" 5 or 10 times speed as 1 k note fill.... lol...
are you serious? 😂😂
Are you? :D
yes!
Thanks. You have not only help indians in your lesson. In kenya we are starting Demonatization this June 2019 and i was more interested on economical impact of it and you have excellently made me understand. Thank you. God bless you. Cheers mate.

This was useful, though there was a bit of speculation around the end about the psychological and social effects of demonetization.
