Martingale Collars-Types and Sizing!

Martingales can be great for training if you know how to use them. The type that has some chain on it can work very well because they make a noise when used properly and this can help get your dogs attention back on you!
The proper fit for a martingale collar is snug! Not super tight, but snug. If the collar is too loose it will hang low on the neck and not be very effective. It is normal to have a little trouble sliding the martingale collar over your dogs ears when it is a proper fit. Since they are adjustable you could loosen and tighten it each time but we find that is almost never needed.
