  • 'Auf, auf zum Kampf' is a German soldier's song from WWI. In 1919 the leftist movement in Germany rewrote the song, giving it a strong and brave touch. The leftist lyrics mention Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg, two important figures of the German worker's movement and founders of the German Communist Party (KPD). Both of them were murdered by reactionary paramilitaries. The mentioned 'Noske police' were a paramilitary police unit under the command of Gustav Noske.

It was originally a song sung by German soldiers in the first world war, then given these lyrics by Bertolt Brecht, then appropriated by the eponymous scum.

I thank @biswadipdasgupta4204 for this explanation! Let me add something personal here: We have to make a clear separation between n.s. thoughts and things older than them. Throwing everything into the same box - if you want to call it like that - would lead us to the conclusion that the whole German culture is an ill-bred thought and a cancer in the middle of Europe.
I don't know if I have made myself a little bit clear here. But I will answer any questions that may come up.

@@maanzurmahtab2323 Oh, that's no problem. I just think it is important to draw a line between mere patriotism and far more extremist views that build upon this.
