Chrystia Freeland, a Ukrainian-Canadian, allocated 12 billion dollars to Ukraine. Should Justin Trudeau have rejected this decision and dismissed her due to a perceived conflict of interest? It appears that she resigned when Trudeau proposed a two-month tax break for Canadians, citing her disagreement with this measure. This raises questions about her priorities, as she seemingly opposed a one-billion-dollar tax break and Christmas bonus, as well as lowering interest rates that had increased during her tenure as Finance Minister. Justin Trudeau fought for us Canadians to get her to lower the interest rates and issue the tax break and Christmas bonus.
Should Canadians feel apologetic about receiving a tax break after paying taxes and interest?
How severe is the lack of confidence within the Liberal caucus that they questioned Justin Trudeau's leadership due to his decision to provide a tax break?

@@zebakhawaja She was incredibly biased towards Ukraine and gave them a blank cheque to loot our tax dollars. Do you know how much they gave to Pakistan in the worst floods they've had in history? a few million. That's it for humanitarian aid, but Ukraine gets 12B?? WTF. Canadians unfortunately need to be reminded with Trump's incompetent presidency, of what to expect from our conservative's empty rhetoric before we vote for Poilievre's government that is EXTREMELY SHORT ON ACTUAL POLICIES (sadly, you can't govern with vague cliches or empty rhetoric). With any luck we can force a minority Conservative government, so that Poilievre can't sell out Canadian trade policy without having to at least bring it to the other Parties, which is unfortunately the only way to hold Pierre accountable for his capitulation to Trump's America first policies or selling out Canadian workers to international corporations.

    • @SimpleMinded221

@traviscutler9912 Pollivere has never stated he would just lay down for Trump. We can see what it was like to have a disastrous liberal government for 9 years. No more, it's time for the Conservatives to take over. Reduce government, invest in Canadian products and energy and be a respected world leader again. Everytime a Liberal is in charge, we loose global credibility.

Greedy Landlords (Particularly Corporate Landlords) are the ones that bought off everything they could get their mitts on specifically so they could Jack up Rent prices across the board, and made buying homes for anyone else basically impossible while nobody could do anything about it... This wasn't the fault any Politician, not anywhere in the world, and certainly not the fault of the dude that kept trying to instill policies that would prevent it but got blocked by conservatives EVERY Time he tried...

Under Trudeau, Canada has experienced the biggest transfer of money from the lower and middle classes to the billionaires, in its history. Not only that, lower and middle class canadians today are struggling. Many cant afford a car, and those who can have a hard time filling their tanks with gas being so expensive. Owning a house, which used to be the goal for every single canadian family, is now a pipe dream. Life quality for canadians has tanked. Not saying all that happened was Trudeau's fault. Of course, co-vid was not Trudeau's fault. But he and his administration showed to be unable to revert its effects. And thats why, today, he resigns. And comes in good timing too, because the situation to Canada can get even worse now with Trump.
Canada needs a leader. Canada needs someone who will really put its people first and fight for them. HOWEVER, do not give carte blanche to anyone and specially not to Pierre Polievre. Whoever wants to step up to correct the disaster that we are facing now needs to be ready to do it. DO NOT accept anyone just because they are able to identify the problems. We, canadians, WE ALL can see the problems. We need solutions. Anybody who will replace Trudeau on the job needs to be ready to solve the issues and should be ready to be scrutinized and called out if they cant do it either.

The current economic climate presents significant challenges. The Canadian dollar's relative weakness compared to the US dollar, coupled with a substantial national debt, raises concerns about economic stability. The impact of high immigration levels on our social and economic infrastructure warrants careful consideration. It is crucial to ensure that our existing systems can adequately support the needs of both current and incoming residents. The government's role in addressing these challenges is paramount. A comprehensive economic strategy is needed to strengthen the Canadian dollar, reduce the national debt, and ensure sustainable economic growth. This strategy must prioritize the well-being of all Canadians and address the concerns of those struggling to make ends meet.

Interesting all the people criticizing Trudeau and the liberals but literally all developed nations are facing the same problems- rising cost of living, climate change, homelessness and mental health issues, post covid issues. This isn’t unique to Canada and these problems are complex and difficult to solve. A lot of the responsibility is downloaded to provincial governments and then municipal governments. Everyone has been pointing the finger to him but he has done a fantastic job amidst a lot of adversity, complex challenges and awful criticism and hate. Who could do this? These problems will remain regardless of government and a party like conservative or further right invests less money, time and energy into the public health and well being and more to the economy and corporations. How will this create any positive change? Sad news for Canada, especially considering the alternatives.
