I'm following this tutorial, with the template and everything rn. I'm done with the structure and beginning the spraying now and OH MY GOD LET ME TELL YOU I'TS BEEN A WILD RIDE 😅 I have so much respect for you mine isn't NEARLY as perfect!!

I wonder if prefab puck lights arranged back-to-back would be a usable workaround for those of us who have a good understanding of prop making but can't wrap our heads around wiring our own electrical.
Or maybe sanding the surface of the acrylic dome to make it better at light diffusion and then insert some RGB strip into the perimeter. That might be easier since you can buy premade connectors. Could even use neon flex lighting to avoid hotspots.
There are millions of ways to do it though, I have a friend who has explosion knowledge on electrical stuffs and he is using premade led as well and it still works. So yeah, there's really no limit that you have to wire everything though

I feel like the music is overloading, and it would be super nice with a full view of the staff, maybe in natural lighting too.
Thanks for the feedback! I do appreciate feedback like this. I do always want to show a full view, however my backdrop is just too small. Am still saving my budget to upgrade a bigger one, hopefully in this year. For the music, do you mean the intro or during tutorial?

Thank you! It is called super effect red and it has to use a spray gun. There's a similar one called candy red in my area and it is a type of spray can paint

Great tutorial! I just got your pattern on Etsy :) How do you make the two halves of staff detachable? Does the PVC section you cut hold the bottom half in place once it's slotted over?
Yes, I use a slightly bigger pvc pipe, remove a part of it and it will act as a stopper

Search for acrylic ball on any online shopping platforms. I got mine a 20cm acrylic ball
do you make your own foam bevel/dowel or did u order it somewhere?
Used to make them myself, but now I use manufactured

You can try finding replacements like lantern and such, as long as the diameter is not too far from what I used here
