Adam is 100% correct on Robbo. It's 'weird' that so many people (including Baker!) don't know the rule. It doesn't matter it's last man - there was no goal scoring opportunity for Wilson as he wasn't getting to the ball (Even Linekar and Dale Johnson agreed is was NEVER a red and should have been overturned by VAR)
Great content as always. One thing I noticed when Baker was disagreeing with Adam about the Robertson red card. In Gw11 Adam says the last man is not a red card as Nunez carries on and gets the shot off, regardless if he scores they don't deny a goal scoring opportunity, you both agree. This week Adam says it's not a red card as Raul still gets the shot off, but Bakers changed his stance, saying it doesn't matter last man, last man. He wasn't saying it doesnt matter last man, last man when Salah was brought down against Villa, he was saying Nunez carries on with the ball so the goal scoring opportunity isn't denied.
The stance changes as there was still a goal. If you check out Dale Johnson on twitter (who btw thinks it’s not a red) he explains that. If Raul puts it in then it’s a yellow for Robbo, but when he doesn’t it goes back to the challenge on Wilson. What Dale argues is that Wilson’s touch was too heavy. That’s the subjective part.
Hi lads, can you explain why when Haaland hauls it will only cost us non Haaland owners 2 expected points? @43:38 How does that work? Guessing to do with ownership % but interested to understand... Great podcast as per 👏
Yeah so if he’s 10% owned, and gets 20pts. Then effectively it just means 2pts against you from the whole of the game. It hurts, but it won’t hurt you bad.
@BakerFPL343 Okay, cheers. So I thought it'd be to do with that. Have you guys done anything where you break it down, as to why mathematically that's the case. Again, just eager to understand the concept behind that way of thinking.
@@BakerFPL343 The hope (and it's a big hope) is that given the run that is coming, he will do this for several games in a row, so owners could potentially be 50pts better off than 90% of players by the end of that. So whilst you won't suffer by not owning him, if you do, you will beat the template that the majority are following.
Great show lads. Why did we ever own Ait Nouri? Scores 3 goals in 4 games then 8 pts over 5 games since buying him 🤦 Sold Mbeumo to Palmer 2 weeks and absolutely hating that decision. Been glaring at Semenyo and Joao Pedro over the past few weeks doing nothing. Why can't everyone be like Isak and Woody?!
There is a bit of discussion about whether Cunha actually gets to play the Leicester game because he has been given till at least Thursday to respond to the charges, and then the Premier League needs time to process this, decide on his fate and a suitable punishment. The game is on Sunday. A dilemma for Cunha owners?
Like this comment if you’re waiting for Saka- Mbeumo a few weeks ago to show any signs of a pay off. Reply with yes if you think I should reverse the transfer to fund ait nouri to Gvardiol
Baker, I've there! Angry mums are VERY scary indeed. Especially once you add in a young baby! I sold Boomo last week to get Isak, and already planning to bring him back for Saka in a couple of weeks.
You're cunha pic , is the first time I've smiled all weekend

True. Wonder why he changed his stance. Still wonder if Raul scores if Robbo still gets a red.
Makes you wonder...

I'd go and read Dale Johnson's piece about it.

Top 1M by New Years day is the plan. Good luck to all!
-4 point hit for me this week, probably the best of my fpl career!
Veltman and Watkins out Hall and Isak in!
That's the stuff of dreams Mark

Hold on saka will haul soon
Saka sneaks up on you. Definitely hold
I get the feeling Rashford would help Arsenal...

I appear to have got away with it! 😂
Baker looks like the guy from conjuring
It should come as no surprise to anyone who kows the pod and knows me that I have no idea who that is, having not seen it.
Trying to work out if this is a demon or not…
