Lovely audio. Macabre, yet comforting in a way. You never cease to amaze. ;) Also, that bit at the end there was reversed. The audio said “The Bookstore is his hex”. Something tells me there’s more layers to our Oreo.
I have a feeling there might be more to Edgar's story here... while the old saying "Curiosity Killed the Cat" is true... many people overlooked the other HALF of the saying of "And satisfaction revived it"... and in a magical bookstore, where words and phrases do come to life... I doubt those words would be forgotten....
And now I wanna know what that last bit said. Well done on a spooky story and can't wait to see the repercussions for Oreos love being messed with by whatever was in the horror section.
"The menace of the supernatural is that it attacks where modern minds are weakest, where we have abandoned our protective armor of superstition and have no substitute defense." - Shirley Jackson, 1959 May you all have a wonderful Halloween - and thank you for such a wonderful story. I cannot wait to hear what happens next.
Let me start by saying that I have never stomached horror well. Commercials for scary movies are too much for me sometimes. Naturally, I stay away from the genre. This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you write horror. So many movies use jumpscares and gory imagery to scare you, and it always feels cheap. When carefully and cleverly executed, horror can evoke much deeper emotions. This audio didn’t go for a brainless “haha, gotcha” moment. It didn’t have a cheesy plot twist ending. It was a beautifully presented unsolved mystery, crafted specifically to approach that “razor’s edge”. Incredibly well done as always. Can’t wait to see where this goes! (If this isn’t at least sort of tied up in the next audio, I might not be able to bear it.)
Holy fuck this raises so many questions, what happened to him? Is the bookshop haunted? Is oreo gonna suffer the same fate?? What did that message say??? AAAAAAAAA- THIS IS SO GOOOOD KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MAN
So, hey, plot has always been a thing and I’m always here for it. But I’d wager that we’re experiencing the same effects as Edgar here. Gives some food for thought if we keep returning.
I love coming back to this, I love this kind of ASMR; love his voice, he's speaking in a normal tone and volume (kind of rare for these kind of videos), love having story and themes for ASMR. I would love to see more of this skunk.
A real chilling audio story. Some friends of mine listened to some ghost stories for the month of October, mostly "The Price of Fear" with Vincent Price. Gotta say, I was nervous that with the concept literal magical influences... I feared this would become close to the story of "Lot 132"...
I have a feeling that this is not the end of this take. Yet more then the fear, what I feel more powerful is how my heart weeps for Edgar and the mysterious Fox lady who I feel he loved but she knew his fate would never let them be together just as she must've once met her own lost to the shadows of the Horror Woods. Above all, I feel sadness. But thankfully something else. Determination. I haven't exactly been reading as much as I should but I do love to talk and ramble on with my thoughts and ideas in comments like this one. Maybe it's time I write a new chapter in this tale myself. To ensure a true and ideal happy ending. And something tells me whatever fate or destiny you have planned, already has such a proper end in place and in play. That but about False Voices and the voices singing that most definitely were NOT him. And that message at the end which I am convinced is Edgar saying something in German. If there's one magic thing I'm skilled at it's music. And it's somber and faint and crying tears of longing for love but I am sensing it's Aura and it is in fact still there and playing. . . . I can hear a melody . . .
I'm sure this has already been said but, when we hear the distorted singing, it sounds close to the same song he was singing in the beginning of the valentine video, I'm not sure if this means anything, just thought that this would be pointed out
You still let me in sire The um.. Pandoras box, interdimentional time demon that sells umbrellas in the place...but you seem to like me so I feel a little less unwanted

Can I have the timestamp for the reversed bit?
Once again your standard of absolute quality even in the audios you post for free astounds me
This is why I donate.
Well, I really liked the beginning, but this came out after midnight for me, so I fell asleep half way through, Oreo's cute voice is just so calming

Wait so you're telling me there's another half to that saying?
If so, damn that is a good one.
Rest in peace random cat

It is said that the perfect man does not exist but the more I hear of and from sweet Oreo, the deeper in love I fall. Magnificent.

So i unreversed the message in the end, but i can't understand it... Says something like "buh bulsar, is his nex"
Great video
I wasn't totally aware Sages tour ended and Oreo's video began.
I thought Sage just dropped me off at the bookshop XD
This made my Halloween for 2020
Was kinda sad in a way. But still an excellent story for Halloween!

... I haven't said this before, but, he has quite a lot of Wheatley's energy...
I could translate half of the journal from German to English.
You still let me in sire
The um.. Pandoras box, interdimentional time demon that sells umbrellas in the place...but you seem to like me so I feel a little less unwanted
Oh my gosh yes yes yes!!
Does anyone know what was said at the end. I feel like it was " and satisfaction relieved it".
Really love Oreo :3
DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND A JOB WHEN YOUR ONLY QUALIFICATIONS ARE BIG AND SQUARE?!
Curiosity killed the cat.
But satisfaction brought it back.
Can we get the translation for the voice in the horror section
I think the question is what world do they all live in? City? Town?
Ok so we are in Vermeil then.
