Making up personas especially with educated guesses and basic product or service knowledge is definitely better than none at all. I agree. AI will add additional insights and knowledge which boosts the quality of the persona..
I think you are right.... the trick with this Generative AI is it's all about understanding why the content is valid. Great video and it causes me to re-evaluate my thoughts about AI Hype.
Something I've heard before that I think is relevant to this: "AI is not going to replace us (at least in the near future) instead, someone leveraging the power of AI will"
AI is not ready to replace us but it can improve our productivity. ChatGPT can make UX experts better so long as they exercise discernment as to the relevance of Chat's answers to their own inquiry.
It's pretty incredible that with some thoughtful inquiry and proper prompt generation you can develop some basic personas that can assist you in your research. As someone with more experience in the UX field, do you have any help for those wanting to use this to develop personas in their first or second project or a project that someone might want to use in their portfolio before they got their first job? In other words, do you have any help for someone with less experience when analyzing what ChatGPT spits out?
That’s a really good question Jason. Personally, I feel that you should only use things that at a minimum are defendable, and my best advice is to use the criteria points that I give for personas at 6:38

I agree! Thanks Kirk!

Thanks Heather
I agree, AI is best used to assist with mundane activities or idea generation. Great video!
Thanks for comment Ben! Right AI right now is not always vetted right, but neither are young ideas.

Not yet.... hehe. It's definitely going to take time, and there's definitely a lot of benefit we can reap.

I feel exactly the same way!
Fully agree.
