My twins just turned 4 months old - my husband and I are both rockin' Ergos with infants insert these days but I can't wait to master this once mine are a little older. Brilliant!!
This is AWESOME! I was joking around about wishing I could wear both my kiddos (33 months and 13 months) at the same time with my Ergo, and one of my girlfriends said she thought that was actually possible. A quick Google search led me to this video, and I love it :). Those little guys are very blessed to have such an awesome mama!
I don't have twins but I was fascinated so I watched the whole video. First of all, you rock. Second, such adorable boys. Third, my son who has been a cranky butt ever since waking up today was watching with me in side carry position (first time ever in this position....just learned to do it today) zonked out like he was bonked in the head with an anvil! Your voice must be magic for baby sleep! Oh wise master....teach me! Hahaha Great video!!! :)
I'm mother of twins too. I never thought of carriering my twins at once. Gotta say you are a supermom! U must get a lot of attention when u go out like this.
This couldn't be more perfect! I get my toddler on my back by following the directions directly from the Ergo site, makes me fret less. Ha! I'm currently having another baby (due in October) so I'm genuinely excited about this. I'll put the newborn in the front of course with a newborn insert. This gives me relief that it's possible because seriously, we live on the 3rd floor and it would be a nightmare if I had to leave somewhere with toddler and newborn by myself. THANK YOU SO MUCH :D
Aww thanks Michelle. It took a lot of practice. I was far less graceful when I started out. This video was recorded at a point in time when both myself and the boys had been doing it daily for months and months. I always hope people understand that, and don't give up if they are having a hard time of it. Good luck with yours!! :)
Hi Alicia, I started wearing my son on my back once he could sit up on his own, and had good head control. Prior to that he would have needed to be in a wrap on my back, and I wasn't comfortable with that at the time. I carried them both in the front, in a Moby wrap when they were 2 months old.
hai mom, awesome... i like your demonstration, so inspired, i have twins (they are two babygirl, 10 months) and i have two ergo baby... someday, i want to try tandem with ergo baby.... nice to know you....
so happy I found this video today. I have almost 1 year old twin girls and a four year and sometimes I wish I could carry both babies but hadn't figured it out yet. I have two ergos too. now I just gotta practice and we will be ready.
I watched this video and sited it in my video today! I was looking for info on how to try this, but I had an ergo and a kinderpack. Thanks for the info!
Thats a great age to carry! Good luck!!!! Remember, I was much LESS graceful with this when I started. Keep trying and you'll get it. Start out with a helper for the back part.
My daughter is 3 yrs old now. I miss carrying her in a carrying bag she was so quiet then. Now she runs around and i cant even carry her anymore cuz shes heavy
@srhgth717 It's really funny you say that, since I was just complaining about it this morning! Too funny!! Thank you for your comment and the compliment!!
my twins are 6.5 months old, and i have baby bjorns, so they don't really work on the back..i used to carry them together up and down stairs all the time, now it's getting too hard!! :)
How old were the twins when you were able to wear them both? Did you ever have to use the infant insert on back? My twins are only 3 1/2 months and I've never worn one on my back.
you are really amazing!!!!! do you think if it's possible to do that with two different baby carriers?? f.e. one "manduca" and one "ergo baby"?? or is better to have the same?? thank you!! (my twins are 5 months old)
I'm carrying twins atm and have been looking for something like this tutorial - thank you so much. I'm wondering if you're using the Ergo Original here? I just bought two Ergo 360s and am wondering if they should work the same way? Thank you!
Hi Sara, Your Welcome! Good luck with your twins. Don't get discouraged. I looked pretty darn sloppy when I first started wearing the boys. We were all screaming. Lol. :)
I'm trying... I have a 2 year old boy 30+ lbs and a 3 months old 14 lbs. I'm trying with a Ergo baby for the toddler and a classic baby bjorn for the new born... that's what a have here available right now... :)
So helpful! Was thinking of getting a twin carrier, but wanted to see if it was possible to just use my Ergos :) At what age did you start wearing them like this?

I thought it would be too bulky. That doesn't look bulky at all. I use the Ktan (front) and the Ergo (back) for twin baby wearing. Great vid!
you have to be the strongest person I know.. no way could I have done that when I was young like you....
AWSOME mama,I loved her.

Yeah, me too...Super Mom, where are you?
LOVE Love LoVe your Avatar picture!! :)
It took MANY hours of practice. Do you babywear Greg? Start now and you'll be swinging him onto your back like a pro in a few months.
Holy super mom!
Thanks! Yay another trekkie! Lol
Lol super mom!!
Those carriers are so expensive! they're like 100 some bux, looks like it worth it though..but still...
Is It Summer Yet? They have them in consignment shops for MUCH cheaper. I got one of ours for $20!
AWESOME! Love to hear that. If you get a chance, or think of it send me a picture on my facebook page once you master it. :) [Diaper Dirt]
