This video shows you how to install a new set of valve cover gaskets on your 2005-2010 Pontiac G6. Valve covers will begin to leak oil when the seals eventually break down. A new valve cover gasket set will make sure the oil stays inside the engine where it belongs!
This repair was done on a 2009 Pontiac G6 Base 2.4L Sedan 4-Door FWD and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:

I was recently given one of these cars, it sat for almost two years in a driveway and I believe the valve gaskets got brittle and went bad. I couldn’t get it to start, pulled the coil packs and the wells were filled with oil. I’m praying to god that’s the issue, anyway 😂 doesn’t look like too horrible of a job.

Hey, did you drain the oil before doing this swap out? Is it recommended? Or can I just take the cover off and swap em out?

Would it work the same for an 08 g5 ???
