Great idea - I fancy using this technique to make a summer belt.
What a fun way to use up our scraps!!! Those butterfly beads are just adorable! 🤗
Love this idea for drives and watching TV! I'm a lefty too! 😁
Brenda 🌼
HI to another lefty! We are a creative bunch!
Fabulous I always get so many ideas from you thank you xx
Julia- thank you for sharing, your imagination is just awesome!!! ❤️😀
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing. Instead of turning into a cuff I turned mine into a strap/handle for my mixed media box I made to store my home made jewelry in. It worked perfect and looks wonderful on my box. Thanks again for the idea.
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing.
These bare so cute. Thanks Julia. Hoping you have the best summer season EVER
Hi Marian, It is always so good hearing from you! I am having a great summer with lots of family visiting. I've been taking a break from UA-cam ( can't get it all done) but will be back in my routine soon. My daughter is here through July 4th. It's been such a blessing. Last year has taught me how important family is! Take care of yourself and stay cool! Julia
Hi Julia, so very creative. I bet they will sell out. Wishing you the best.
Thanks so much! 😊
These are so fun. I love them. And I will be making these for sure. I can think of so many ways to use these. As cuffs bracelets, journals, wow so versatile. Thank you.
Hi Linda, I have been having a lot of fun with the twisted fabric cord. Wonderful for button loops, etc. Thanks for watching, Julia
Hi Julia - Oh how fun these are!! I can see them done in seasonal colors. A new bracelet for each season!!! Love how the twisted fabric looks. So much easier than I thought it would be. I need to rummage through my scraps!!!
These would make perfect gifts. I’m sure they are selling like hot cakes in your summer shop. You come up with the best ideas. I was starting to wonder about you. I was hoping everything was ok and that you were just busy. We have been having lots of warm and sunny days. It’s raining now but everything needed a good drink!!!
Hope you are having fun in your shop. Hugs! 💕☀️🦋🐝🦜🪴🧵
Hi Pam, Hope you are doing well. We too finally got some much needed rain. It has been so hot, windy, and dry. I've been missing in action, my daughter is here for a couple of weeks and I've been goofing off LOL! She can work remote so will probably stay through July 4th. Last year has taught me how important family is- so I am enjoying this time. You will have to give the twisted fabric cord a try. It is so easy and quick. I have found that I can only work at it for a short time because of the repetitive motion but it doesn't take long to get enough for a couple of bracelets. Take care of yourself and enjoy your summer! Julia
@@stitchesbyjulia Yay! I’m so happy your daughter can work remote. It gives her the opportunity to stay longer with you. I just know y’all are having a ball together. Enjoy the little things together because they will be memories to look back on later. Glad you are goofing off! You needed that!
Love & Hugs! 💕☀️🪴🧵🙏🏻🐝🦋

Hola maestra! Que gusto volver a saludarla! ...por fin! Otro video que me encanta!
Love these! I made some of that cord a few years back and it’s sat in the cupboard….I’m going to get it out and try some of these! I’ve got so many fabrics and buttons I could make thousands!! Thanks for sharing. I tried another one of your projects last night…the wild lupin…I did a simpler flower…kind of a pink daisy…really pleased with the result! Have a great day.
I'm so glad you tried the flower idea! I too love that kind of stitching.

Thank you for sharing. You are ALWAYS such an inspiration. If you decide to ever come to Scottsdale again and escape the cold winters don't be a stranger. There are lovely craft shows here in the desert!
I guess you could use these to make those rope baskets, too. Very nice!

They're beautiful!!! So happy to see new videos, Julia!!! You are so talented 💖
Wow!! Great tips
Amazing I love it .great job
Really neat, Julia. I recently started wearing bracelets, so your cuffs are a great idea. I tried pinning a brooch around 3 small stretch bracelets. It worked great, and I was glad to use the cute pin. I think I would add a pin/brooch to a cuff bracelet. Then you can change the look. Thanks!
Hi, I love your idea about the brooch! Thanks for sharing. Julia
Neat idea, I always have a lot of fabric scraps when I see or quilt.
Love these Julia ! Going to have to give this project a try, maybe try a couple of other things too, must think ! Thankyou for sharing, love all your videos.
Love this idea! I’ve been doing a lot of projects using scraps so I appreciate another idea!
Bellísimas! Gracias por inspirarnos ❤️
I’ve missed you and your videos so I was glad to see this today! This is really cute! I even have these butterfly beads. So, I may have to try this. Thanks so much!
So creative Julia! FYI...I carry the bicycle journal you made for me everywhere. When I asked you to make it, little did I know I would use it to plot the info for having to move house 3 times in 4 months across 2 states. CRAZY right? I had no idea any of that was going to happen. You must have known since you called the cover ...
'A great adventure " 😀Hugs Kate
😝adventure?!??!!! I’m curious about your moving... whew that was a lot, I hope all turned out well???!!! ❤️😀
Hi Kate, I am so glad you are enjoying the journal. It sounds like you have really been on "a great adventure"! Wow you have had a crazy year! Hang in there and keep your sense of humor!
I love this! I was wondering what to use the twisted cord for…perfect! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I love these Julia. I have been making bracelets using fabric cords too😘🥰❤️. Great tip on how to join the strips too.
What a fun project and great for gifts....or to sell at a craft show! Love these! Thanks Julia. Are you stuck in the heat wave or, like us, getting a lovely cool air front from the NW?
Hi Phyllis, It's so good hearing from you. We had much needed rain on Sunday and cooler temperatures the past couple of days. Heat comes back tomorrow! Stay cool!
HELP JULIA, I've been trying to find a project of yours where you used those large mailing labels that come 2 to a sheet. Can you clue me in as to what I'm looking for? Thanks, Phyllis
Thank you so much ,I am in the process of making one now , but jus wondering what else can be made with the twisted cord as I had such fun making it I have quite a bit thank you again I love everything that you do you are very inspiring
Hi, I love making the cord too. It's addicting! Here is a video where I make a couple of necklaces or pendents-ua-cam.com/video/bPs9ZOr0fhM/v-deo.html
Also one where I show using the cord for trim and button loops-ua-cam.com/video/bY3K2XuIeYI/v-deo.html
My favorite is coasters. I make these for gifts. Here is the video- ua-cam.com/video/h5ZU5kCrktY/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching, Julia
👏👏👏
You can do this on a spinning wheel too! If you sew the lengths together.
Thanks for the tip!
👏👏👏👏👏
💗💗💗
Love this, Julia. I was wondering how you made that cord. Thank you.
Thank You for the video! I am going to make some of these and see if I like them. They look very comfortable! Where did you get the butterfly beads?
Hi Paula, I got the butterfly beads at my local flea market. I tried finding them on Amazon but had no luck. Possibly a craft store like Micheals would have something similar. Thanks for watching, Julia
A belt would be so.cool out of this.
Yes it would!
After watching the necklaces video I had to watch this one
Does it work best with cotton fabric. Have tried with soft fabric but it is not quite so good.
HI Pauline, I only use cotton fabrics. It works the best.
Can't quite figure out what exactly you are doing when you are twisting.
I really like your tutorials, but the camera angle makes it really hard to watch.
