I totally agree with you. There was really no need to bring the character Rebecca into the lives of Aaron and Robert from the start. Having done so the Emmerdale writers thought they could add melodrama. Instead they received a backlash from fans. I have read in the last day that the character is being written out which is a good thing. We have had weeks without Robron and seen a number of badly put together plots and some poor acting. It just makes me appreciate how important both Danny and Ryan that when they aren't in the show it is hardly worth watching. Emmerdale can do wonderful drama - Aaron's abuse, death of Holly, Rhona's rape and Ashley's slide into dementia and death. Then it ruins it all with 'cattle rustling', the inevitable Charity scam, the stalking by Finn and not bringing the Emma story to a logical conclusion. We have also seen what became a great relationship Moira/Cain split up to give Charity the same old storyline following into the Harriet fatal attractions. There is the opportunity of a potential good story with Victoria and Adam being supported by Robert and Aaron that could be moving but I fear the writers will just go for the same old over dramatic effect.
I'm not enjoying what's going on with the whole Rebecca baby sl atm at all but all of these moments are so cute it's wonderful to see Aaron so happy, despite knowing what's to come. I couldn't stop smiling at the picnic scene omg 😊 😊. And ofc the clothes swap and 'I'm Aaron Dingle I don't eat salmon and I don't have sex outside' 😂😍
