Indeed. People tend to forget that Robert was abused by his father after he found out Robert liked boys. He not only beat him but then psychologically abused him by ignoring him for months and made him feel he was no longer part of the family, going so far as to elevate Andy above his own son. Psychological abuse can be just as damaging as physical abuse. A lot of how Robert is today can be traced back to what happened to him as a kid. This is why I believe Aaron and Robert are so close, because each of them were abused and abandoned by their parents, albeit in different ways...they sense each other's damage and it draws them closer together.
I wish Vic and Diane found out about Jack. It would have made a good mini storyline if Robert blurted something out and they had to sit down and have a real conversation about it.
@@Ledraali Yh, it would but Robert did not tell them that he was bisexual, not even Andy. Aaron finally learns the truth in the end when Robert came out to him ; that was only because he loved Aaron too much to keep this from him and luckily, Aaron firmly promised him he will not tell anyone since he knows how much suffering Jack has put Robert in.
Yes, the irony in what Robert said is obvious, but he only lapsed once and that was in exceptional circumstances. And Aaron eventually forgave him. Later on, when Robert was explaining to Aaron what happened, he said how he was the one who was always expected to be strong, to be there for Aaron and to be the one who always knew what to do. I feel for Robert because that was true ... in their relationship Robert is always expected to be the strong one for Aaron, to make things right, but who was there for Robert when he felt lost and hopeless? Cheers
@@Terry-dl4nfwell Aaron only make a moved to get Robert went Robert start dating someone, maybe if Robert begin to dating someone early he get Aaron early. 😅 lol
@@salina5715 These were the glory days, Salina. The story-lines, the writing and the magnificent acting all came together to produce some of the most memorable moments in the history of Soaps. Then, just a year or two later, the writers go and destroy it all. Sad! PS. I find you do have to watch 2 or 3 times to fully get what's going on ... I've missed a lot the first time around and I find it can be even more moving when I watch for a second or third time!
although it was a beautiful second proposal it was a mock ofa wedding . cosidering that un the UK a gay couple con marry love you much Aaron💝Robert 😢😢💖❤👍 Emmerdale TV
Patricia Garcia although it’s legal the paperwork for the licence to make it legal can’t be processed in a day in the uk takes like 28 days and without that it’s not legal it wasn’t to do with it being a gay wedding, would be the same if it was a straight wedding organised in a day
"If your dad could see you today!.." I'm glad Aaron saved Robert this time.
Love Aaron wish he could be happy forever.

Love watching them say their wedding vows 💍🥰💗
Cain "you've got to move that money"
That's right, even at a wedding, Dingles will always find a way to be thieves. LOL
I have the feeling that if Jack was still alive Aaron would've managed to make him accept his son and attend the wedding.
Yeah I think that would had happened
