- Sometimes a small dose of epinephrine or norepinephrine can keep a patient from becoming hypotensive during intubation, or may help bridge the patient to a continuous infusion. Dr. Pickett talks about simple methods for mixing and administering push doses of these pressors and how to administer the infusion.
NOTE: It is ASSUMED you already know the indications, contraindications, and side effects of these drugs. This video is NOT a comprehensive review of these medications.
Thanks for a straight forward, useful, common sense approach to a subject that can seem overwhelming.
I’m a new Paramedic and this video helped tremendously. Thank you!
I remember watching this 10 months ago and being so lost. Now I'm nearing the end of my course and this is so easy to understand. Woo hoo for progress! Thanks for the great vid.

For the the push dose epi it doesnt matter what fluid is used as long as we have 1 ml of epi. And from there we can push 20mcg from there
Hey, can someone explain to me how the concentration of the normal saline became 8mcg/ml after injecting 2mL of the med in the bag?
What a great presentation. Very informative. The person presenting however, is slovenly in appearance and probably smells bad.
Great Video! Hope you create more content.
Why not add 2.5 ml of 1:1000 to the 250 ml bag instead? Then, you keep the same 10 mcg per ml concentration. Less confusing.
