KATIMA MULILO 24HR OPERATIONS

Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister JACK MWIIMBU says Government will continue working towards eliminating challenges that affect the movement of goods and services across borders.
Speaking during the joint launch of 24-hour operations of Katima Mulilo Boarder Post, Mr. MWIIMBU says the move is essential in meeting Zambia's aspirations of becoming a prosperous middle-income Nation by 2030.
And Namibian Minister of Home Affairs, immigration, safety and Security ALBERT KAWANA said actualisation of the 24hr operations of the border is a dream of many years that has come true for Zambia and Namibia.
Dr. KAWANA said Katima Mulilo is a place of Great significance between Zambia and Namibia and actualizing 24hr trade at the border is a sign of continued collaboration between the two nations.
The move to 24 hour border operations at Katima Mulilo is part of the resolutions made during the 24th session of the Zambia-Namibia Joint Permanent Commission on Defence and Security (JPCDS) held from 17th to 21st April, 2023 in Livingstone.
