    My Mom is Zambian & my Dad is Namibian but i reside in Namibia(WHK),we've travelled this route countless times +- 3000km from WHK to Zed & have experienced the exhausting yet Fun journey but it looks more fun & New watching someone else travel this route. . . Great video

    I was Project Manager for the new road constructed from Wenela -Katima to Ngoma (Chobe).1997 to 2001. We had 2 crusher sites in Zambia. I use to know previous Owners of Kabula lodge....enjoy and safe travels. Deon and Chef Mizé

      Yeah I missed out on that. So many people on the road. I dont like filming them without consent and not a lot of places to stop.

    This is home for me. Very spiritual place barotseland. Hope they continue to sort out the roads and get the game parks more consolidated

    I did this border town in 2018, stopped at the same shopping centre as you. entered Zambia after 50 years!!!!! Turned towards livingstone. Lived in livingstone between 1968 and 1973. So will be interested to know what north looks like for my next trip.

    Yes especial mongu to kalabo the view is nice. It has a very enjoyable view people should always come to this plain view.Guys don't be left out come and see Barrolse flood plain..

    Travelled this route late '70s. Very beautiful but no tarmac, no bridges, no petrol stops, no coca cola or beer, hotels/rest houses and yes absolutely no photographs! Plenty game and military checkpoints. Thanks for the wonderful video.

      Now there's plenty of shops, fuel, cellphone recharge sellers, police, trash, potholes. photographs, videos and no game

    There has been significant increase in trade and use of Namibian port facilities by DR Congo in the last few years, there’re are a lot of Namibian trucks transiting Zambia between DRC and Namibia every day.

      Its crazy right. I see more Namibian trucks in Western Zambia than I see Zambian ones.

    Did u actually have to show your police certificate ? In your case was that a Namibian cert ?

      Yes I did Alan. The Interpol officer checked it against my vehicle registration document and passport. After that he inspected the vehicle checking the chassis and engine no. Yes I had a Namibian police clearance certificate. I've added the entire process in the video description.

      @@NickfrNamibia they are supposed to collect levy on movement of products across district borders, eg fish. I still wonder what could have attracted a charge. Enjoy your trips 😉

    Zambian are diferent species in world of crocodiles 🐊 if you give them food they will let go. All SADCC members countries authorities enjoying this privilege. Wich I wouldn't blame them due to what they earn.
