Any issues with your jet? I finished assembling mine today, and when I plugged in the battery, the ESC only beeped five times. I contacted MotionRC, and they told me to try again with a freshly fully charged battery. If it does the same thing, I should contact them again to create a ticket. I'll test that tonight after work. Congratulations on such a great maiden flight 😁👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Thumbs-up for your video. Thumbs-up from Douglas, Arizona...🌵🌵🌵👍🏾😁🇵🇷
No issues with the ESC. I have been following the forums. Beeps are being misinformed. I have another jet thats a new release and arms the exact same way. Running hot is another issue has been reported. Check the EC5 connector and ESC for high temps. Most cases its done on powering up.
@BDTennessee I'll double-check and keep you informed. Did you program flaperons? I can't find the way to do it and don't want to mess it up. If you don't mind, can you please make a video showing how it's done, including any mixes on the radio? For now, I'm going to maiden her with only the air brakes set up, until I figure out how to set flaperons. Do you think I'll be okay, or should I wait and try to set up flaperons? Thanks again for your response to my comment. Have a great day! Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 🌵🌵👍🏾👍🏾🇵🇷
I have several Freewing 80mm EDFs, and an E-flight Viper 90mm which I love for just about any type of flying. Although, I also like the E-flight F-16 Thunderbirds 80mm EDF, I love the color scheme. I'm an advanced flyer, I'm curious which one may perform better/or less, the Freewing F-16 v2 90mm or the E-flight F-16 Thunderbirds 80mm?
Do you think the 6s has enough power? Shane you couldnt test back to back against the 8s. Its weight and tippyness is whats holding me back from buying it. If i did i think id go 7s or 9s.
Okay I watch the vid some several times and hear you saying about the cg after the landing.. I have the same bird (and waiting for good weather) but when I'm @130cm cg my lipo is like 3cm more to the front opposite yours? (Spektrum Smartlipo 6s 5000 100c)
@@feelgooddany SMC im using is 20 grams lighter. So im back 30mm and lighter battery. Should be nose heavy even with gear down. You could start where your at since this F-16 has plenty of elevator authority. Id sai you will be somewhere in the middle of my placement and yours currently. 130 in book is mm not cm...
Since updating to AS3X+, I haven't been able to use 40, 50, and 60 percent AS3X gains with the sensitivity set to X1. If I raise the Stop Lock rates to 100%, it's better. I don't really want to change the sensitivity to 0.5X to stop the oscillation. Spektrum has apparently changed the gain algorithm and made it more sensitive. I wish they'd quit messing with it and go back to the way the AR636 gains worked. I think it's ridiculous to have 5 sensitivity settings when 1X, 2X, and 4X should be plenty. They've also made the heading hold gains way too sensitive. On the AR636, you could set the heading hold gain to the same value as the AS3X gain. Now, you have to turn the heading hold gain down to between 4 and 10 percent. Spektrum's gyro firmware is getting worse, not better.
Nice flying and a very useful review. Thank you.
Thanks Geo!
I really like the look of the e-flight su-30 twin 70mm. Any test on that one?.
I havent flown one. However is twin 70 on one battery so be careful on flight times.
Well done
Thanks John!
Great maiden bud. It is a sweet looking jet. Iv been flying the 8s version. Very very fun jet.
Agree, looks is 🔥! I got a 8s ill throw in too. Im curious to see my findings first hand.
@@BDTennessee it really opens the vertical up , and the sound is awesome 👌
@@SmokeyMountainRcTravisThompson good to hear! Im excited to test it out!
Nice job BD!
Thanks bro!
Looking forward for this!!!!!
Stay tuned!
Bro that transmitter is badazz what is that again?

Great landing and post landing - not tipping it over at the very end.
I thought she might go over at the end :D

I need to get more flights in and testing. Both good models but i can tell 80mm has more speed, vertical, and lighter...

I got a 8s 1350kv to install. Video was only first flight. However ill do some actual testing with back to back.
Nice nice nice !!!

Did you factory reset the receiver after you updated it ?
@@HornetHobbyRC Of course..
@HornetHobbyRC didn't know that was a must. I updated all my rx and never reset them and all is fine

Good info!
I have noticed the same too. Especially having to turn down the settings to get them to match results from previous firmware.
