So how would you stop the nose gear from steering while the nose gear is retracted. Say you have pull pull steering and don't want the servo working while the gear is retracted.

I just tell you now a problem is with mine is that when I take the hex off mine when I take my tire off the heck supposed to stay on a little bit even when I tighten it should I use thread lock to tighten it or should I get a new one cuz I use the new hex on it too and it wouldn't tighten down

Excellent presentation. I Hit the subscribe button, because, I know a pro when I see one. I haven't tried grass ops with mine yet. Was really nice to see it operating off of grass in case i ever had to. Not that I could put it down as nice as that , but I think it would survive. My landings are a little more like "hope this works." 😅

I just bought another AR 8020T receiver and 9747 remote, installed in my new plane and noticed the B readout empty after my flight. The A readout ws 24 F and no Holds. I went to rebind and found pushing the Bind button on the remote had no effect on the main reciever, no flashing light. I have not seen this before. Any ideas?

I think the Avanti V2 would be stiffer competition for the Viper. Trying to decide between those two right now. I really want the Viper, but the price difference is pushing me towards the Avanti V2

Thanks a lot for the info. I struggled in multiple ways trying to figure out what was needed to get both ailerons working together on multiple rates. I had to go back into the opening setup to choose dual aileron channels before it would work.

Hi BD, I like the video. But actually you showed how to do exactly what I already did. (NX8 to NX8) unfortunately my new NX8 will only bring one model from the sd card even though, yes, I selected "import all". Thanks for the upload. I'll keep trying. Edit: Some of my model names had quotation marks for inches ("). The NX8 didn't like that and it stopped uploading when it got to one of those. I couldn't get my radio to login to specktrum so I used an SD card to download the latest updates from spektrum on my computer. I can't believe it took all evening to copy over 13 models. But thanks for your helpful videos.

Very informative. I saw a video where a popular UA-camr crashed his plane because he accidentally hit throttle cut during flight. Is it possible to set up an nx8 so that the throttle cut will not work unless it's under a certain percentage? Thanks Paul.

Hi BD, just getting back into the hobby. Your video is very educational thank you. I just added my second model to my NX8. If you don't mind my asking, do I have to re-bind the TX every time I change between models?

In my minimal 10 years experience I’d say the Futura v3 has been my favorite just “grab & go” jet to fly. I felt the same about the 90mm the year before that. The year before that, it was the FMS Bae Hawk. There’s some really good, docile, easy to fly, pretty rugged jets on the market. You can’t go wrong with either the Futura v3 or the Avanti. Freewing and FMS have both put out some nice edf’s the last few years, but FMS seems to have the most forgiving stock landing gear.

BD, I'm setting up my plane but cannot get the elevator to slowly move with the wing sweep like you did. I'm using a Spektrum NX-8 radio and the same receiver that you have. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. It's almost ready to maiden and could fly with the wings out, which I will likely do the first few flights anyway. But really would like to have it programmed and ready for the sweep as well. I've been in contact with HH, but haven't had much luck yet.

Great Videos, I am having an issue with AS3X and or SAFE. Im om a ix14 and after assigning the AS3x switch the model is trimmed but when I want to turn everything off and I flip the switch the elevator pitches up for some reason. This is on a turbo timber evo with the TA receiver. I do not see Other GYRO setting to do a factory reset. ANY IDEAS?

Exceptional flying skills. This is a scale model. The Phantom relied on brute force thrust. Terminate that thrust and she has a glide ratio of a thrown cinder block. It glides like a boat anchor. Well done. She lived to fly another day. Howdy to ya from middle Tennessee.....near the Boro.

I'm beginning to think the FMS EDF Jet 80mm Bae Hawk is more enjoyable to fly, and a bit quicker. I think the 80mm is the sweet spot.

I too appreciate what you teach us. Great videos. Kind of new to the hobby again since it has been 20+ years since I flew RC. Question....when setting up a switch with low, medium, and hi rates/expo...should the low (70%) start at position 2 (85%), then 1 (100%) throws?
