I used to live in Saarbruecken with season tickets for Lautern back when they were in the 1. Bundesliga. Fun train trips but sometimes things got dangerous when I arrived back from a Lautern game in the SB train-station alone, just as the Saabruecken fans were exiting from their 3. Liga game.

@@kreamysoda It is a great city to live in. Manageable traffic, good food, and decent weather, plus you are right on the doorstep to France. However, sometimes the police had to escort me out of the train station for my own protection. They were not too happy about me wearing my 1FCK shirt, since they felt it was instigating the local fans.

It is a bit sad. I lived there for a year in 2003. The Olimpia-Stadion is too cavernous for my taste. It is so difficult to understand why the capital city just can't have a better club team (I guess they had Union for the last few years).

unfortunately only UB plays good, but not this season.
There is no logic in how german clubs play.
Plus to Hertha there are: HSV, Stuttgart, Schalke, Nurnberg, Hannover, Freiburg and Augsburg in seasons when they both joined eurocup and so on.
