  • This video goes over the very basic functions of creating animations within Inventor Studio. IT includes moving components and also "fading" components. You can go a lot further with animations and I will try to add more videos in the future to show this.
    But this should get you started. Don't forget to watch you're video after you've hit render and it's completed :-)
    Happy CADing guys!!

    Very good Tutorial. Is there a way to animate a tube filling with a fluid for example? Or are there any possibilities to animate fluids?

    I have struggle in putting angle constraint in my flywheel, where should I put angle constraint so that my flywheel will rotate freely and I can animate it. Thank you!

    • @AutodeskInventorGuy
      @AutodeskInventorGuy  2 роки тому

      Are you using one fo the faces of the flywheel? I've found that if you use one of the origin planes (i.e. XY, YZ, XZ) then this oftern works better - providing you've modelled the flywheel with the orgiing in the centre of course. Hope that helps!

    Man is there any chance that you can make or planning to make a tutorial video about drawing part by part and doing an assemble with like you know movements?

    • @AutodeskInventorGuy
      @AutodeskInventorGuy  8 років тому

      +SimplySimpl3 Hi There, do you mean making all the parts in one file? Or making them in separate part files and then assembling them together? I could do a video of putting this engine together as it's pretty simple and uses most types of constraint.

    • @SimplySimpl3
      @SimplySimpl3 8 років тому

      Inventor Tutorials Yes I mean, making all the parts one by one then assembling them together if you can of course that would be really appericiated.

      +SimplySimpl3 So I've created a playlist here:
      ua-cam.com/play/PLFYibMLPnAVcaYn-d7wAGfe0Yi2piMcSn.html
      Also the whole pack, including all the drawings plus more information and videos can be found here: For the full pack including drawings please visit the Autodesk website:
      studentsdownload.autodesk.com/ef/27288/cdcoll/downloads/WorldskillsProjects/Elbow_Engine.zip
      The zip file is only 425MB.
      Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else!

    Great video but the problem I am having on my animation is the object spins really fast fir three seconds then slows right down for the remainder 7 seconds? I have tried increasing or decreasing the degrees and the velocity but I'm stuck please could you help?

    • @AutodeskInventorGuy
      @AutodeskInventorGuy  4 роки тому

      Hi Jamie, It may be the accerleration and decelertion setting that can be seen on the second tab "acceleration" (depending on what version of Inventor you're using). You'll then see the 'ramp up, run, ramp down' for the speed, you can make it uniform, that'll give you constant and will hopefully normalise the 10 seconds to a steady rate. Let us know how it goes or you have further trouble.

    Whenever after I clicked render, the video quality turns pretty grainy at the end products. May I know what should i do?
    I am using Autodesk Inventor 2015.

    • @AutodeskInventorGuy
      @AutodeskInventorGuy  6 років тому

      Hi there, could either be frames per second (i.e. number of rendered images per second), or the resolution of those renders. Firstly increase the resolution of the renders. Then also try upping the FPS (think it default to 15, you want 30 minimum really).

    • @yalgret
      @yalgret 6 років тому

      I also have the same problem in Inventor 2018. The resolution is high enough but you get this grainy noise in the image like it never finished rendering. If I use raytracing in the view panel this does not occur unlike the render feature, quite frustrating...

    How do you dictate which direction the part or component moves?

    • @AutodeskInventorGuy
      @AutodeskInventorGuy  7 років тому

      Hi Alex, simply put in a positive value for one direction and a negative value for the opposite direction. i.e. 360 or -360

    • @alexmallen5765

      I tried this and it didn't work, both the positive and negative end angle values produced the same animation.

    • @alexmallen5765

      I figured out my problem, i was using an undirected angle constraint instead of a directed one.

    i was able get my flywheel animated, however the crankshaft it is connected to is not spinning with it, do i have to constrain/animate every part? or is their an easier way to animate the whole assembly?

    • @toshinakae6397
      @toshinakae6397 7 років тому

      i tried doing different angle constraints but i always end up getting " the specified value could not be applied, please enter a different value. i looked it up and its usually due to bad constraints, i checked my model and all of them are good. i dont know whats wrong D:

    • @AutodeskInventorGuy
      @AutodeskInventorGuy  7 років тому +1

      You need to have everything fully-constrained. So the crankshaft needs to be fully constrained to other moving parts otherwise it won't animate. You only have to drive one constraint - PROVIDED that everything else is fully constrained (i.e. removed all degrees of freedom that would exist in reality). Does that make sense?

    • @AutodeskInventorGuy
      @AutodeskInventorGuy  7 років тому

      Are you sure you're using the correct angles constraint (i.e. directed angle?). Also it most be possible for the computer to solve this. Which relies on all your models being correct and orientated correctly. Normally an angle constraint will fail if it's unsolvable.

    • @toshinakae6397
      @toshinakae6397 7 років тому +1

      Autodesk Inventor Guy by fully constrained, do u mean making it rigid? because my asssembly moves fine, and none of the constraints are broken, thanks for the fast reply! :)

    • @AutodeskInventorGuy
      @AutodeskInventorGuy  7 років тому

      Yeah making it rigid, but if it works fine when using the mouse to drag it round then that would definitely be because it can't solve the angle. Are you creating the constraint using a face or one of the origin planes (i.e. XY, XZ, YZ)?

  • @MsLoribear
    @MsLoribear 6 років тому +2

    Wow! Talk about getting someone dizzy. If you are going to use a mouse icon for your cursor, please don't wave it around so much. It takes away from your demonstration
