- After years of seraching (doing nothing) i finally found this song on the DVD menu of the german release of Kino's journey.

*Snow falls, the traffickers become distracted long enough for Kino to use her "knife" to fire a hole through the leader's head*
*Kino quickly stabs the second, and lastly, the third trafficker breathes heavily as he stares down the barrel.*

I have been looking for this song for like 5 years. I would randomly have this piano tone in my head and could not figure out where it was from. I re-watched Kino's journey a few years ago, and heard it but could not find it online. I just finished watching it again and came on here determined.... Victory. Thank you for posting so much!!!
I really like this leitmotif, it so simple, somber and memorable. It's stuck with me a long time.
Wish it were used more in the OST.

Love this anime but unfortunately this kind of anime is so underrated...i really like how the anime tell the story with such a touching way,sometimes its beautiful,touching and sometimes dark. I really like this anime both version 2003 and 2017. Im start to get obsessed with this anime especially about kino herself...she is strong and highly independent woman which is really my type of girl. I dont care if someone call her flat chested or mid or under 7/10. She still my favorite female char (i fall in love with her). She is the one who make me fall in love with anime and nothing will change that forever.

Mushishi is one of my favorites, also try "Natsumes Book of Friends"
Jim Jarmusch's movie "Paterson" (starring Adam Driver) feels a lot like Kino's Journey in its evocation of beauty. Not as good as KJ, but nothing is. Still one of the best twenty films of the past decade.
