Claudio, your English is perfect. I am also a non-native English speaker for 40 years and I don't think I can speak as correctly and FAST as you do. Great explanation of the features and functions of the BMS box, Thank you!👍
So, you want to make 15 kWh @ 24V, correct? You can connect them in parallel and BMS cable will be the same. If you use BMS from BPATH you can select into settings if you are in series or in parallel. I will make a video for this situation, thank for ideea :)
What cooling system would you use to keep the batteries either cool or warm, operating them within an appropriate operating temperature? In my case, I only need to keep them cool, since I'll be operating them in warm temps.
Hi, how many of these modules can be connected to one BMS in a 48V configuration (Victron Quattro 15kva) and if more are needed can these BMS units be daisy chained ? Am currently planning 2 systems one with 30kwh and another with 60-100kwh. Also, due to the 6S config of Tesla 444 modules there will be limitations in the full range of voltages that Victron can use out of a Tesla pack. (Quattro / Multiplus cannot restart once battery module voltage drops below 20.8V, and it then reaches shutdown voltage of around 19V , (it will need to be brought back up manually to 20.8V via generator / grid etc before the Victron can be restarted manually which is not possible if owner is not present, leading to battery damage. Can this BMS overcome this issue somehow ? Thanks.
Hi, I've just subscribed, excellent video thank you! I had a 6kw Fronius gen24 hybrid inverter with 6kw of panels installed last Feb. All is working well but now I have come to buy batteries I find I am limited to the BYD system which is about 1800euro for 20KW !! I want to change my inverter but can't use a Victron as they unfortunately don't produce a 6kw (or bigger) hybrid single phase. I am seriously considering a Solis RHI-6K-48ES-5G which has a built in BMS that communicates via CAN BUS. I am buying 4x Tesla 6.3kw 22.8v modules 2s2p configuration to give the correct voltage. Finally the question... Will the Victron BMS in your video work with the Solis inverter? Sorry its such a long explanation. Many thanks
Aha! Ive just noticed your comment at the top saying the BMS works with any 48v system. I'm assuming that if it is all CANBUS then there will be no issues? Thanks again.
We plan to purchase this unit, I use all victron inverters (Quattro 48/5000), does Bpath BMS control (turn off) victron inverter and mppt solar chargers when batteries are full? (Not open contactor, turns off charge on victron Quattro?) 3) are bpath using stock Tesla control board on each battery? 4)Where does the startup power come from for Bpath BMS if the contactor is open to power the interface and tell the error or do setup? 5)how many amps can boath unit carry, I saw gigavac 400, but copper is looking thin, and wire holes are small for 2/0 cable to batteries? 6) do you have some fuse or some protection in case of emergency shutdown not to blow Bpath BMS computer board? For example: If the batteries are charging and there is a overload or bad cell detectected, and the gigavac contactor opens the dump loads or current rush that went to charge the batteries now will blow your board? Or you have some fuse? 7) do you control the victron charging voltage (plus on off) or What is maximum voltage (charging curve) you suggest to charge paired (2) modules? 50? 8) what is the maximum variation you suggest, or BMS allows, between cells, .30? 9) to verify if the precharge resistor is built in
I want to start this project. I need a home battery to charge at night and discharge during the day into my house. No solar. The BMS is the only part that was missing in the puzzle. I just checked and it’s out of stock. Secondly it’s too expensive. Because these days batteries like sunsynk come at a very cheap price. Also, will you be able to provide a full schematic diagram of your Tesla power wall built ?
@@CaptainProton1 Can you suggest some good options? The only reason I wanted to do Tesla batteries was that it is really cheap as compared to a new home battery pack. Can you suggest any car using lithium iron phosphate batteries, which I can find secondhand ? I live in the UK.
We can provide, but need to know for what inverter you need.
