    I love this stuff. I wish they had it in true hares ear color but the black has worked well for my tying smaller stonefly nymphs.

    I’ve wondering how this yarn would look on a hook. Thanks.
    If tying dirty bug yarn flies gets students on the same page, you could also do the same thing with wool or Antron yarn. Then you could also show them how to chop up the yarn to make single color dubbing and later to add and mix colors for multicolor dubbing. In turn, having dubbing they made themselves might make them more motivated to learn other methods of applying dubbing. Catching fish on the first flies you made yourself is a thrill. Hope you get them hooked. :-)

      I think that would be a great idea, we will definitely make some dubbing in a class in the future.

      I have one, i just never got used to using it. I need to practice with it so I can get comfortable with it being there.
