  • 🚀 Manage Your LinkedIn Notifications with a bulk delete option 🚀
In this video, I share how you can bulk delete LinkedIn notifications. Surprisingly, LinkedIn doesn't provide an option to do this en masse, forcing us to delete them individually. This can be incredibly time-consuming. I've created a simple button which gives you a quicker method to tidy up your notifications. You can select multiple notifications on a page or even all.

I had this EXACT issue today - wondering how to do this. I've always just clicked on each notification and left them. I accidentally found the DELETE option by swiping left on one of them! I then realised I've got YEARS of notifications to delete, as I've NEVER done it until today!😉

That's so funny that you had this issue today, just as I published the video. Hope you find the bookmarklet helpful.

Great solution, Ian. Thank you so much.
Can you quickly tell us a bit about what might be going on behind the button, from a privacy perspective? Or is this just doing its javascript magic on the page and revealing nothing to anyone about ME?

Thanks, Lindy. Great question. It's just Javascript - nothing magical. The first solution adds some text and checkboxes to the page and then simulates clicks. The second solution just makes all the trash cans appear so you can click on them. So there are no privacy concerns because it's just very simple code that works on your browser. Hope that makes sense.

Wow, that is crazy. Everyone said it couldn't be done.

Thanks! I heard that too, and I thought to myself that it must be possible...

This is great, thank you! Question: what if I don't want to delete them -- I just want to mark them as read? It takes a while to click on each one and then hit the back button.

That's a great question. Unfortunately LinkedIn doesn't provide a way to mark a notification as "unread" through the user interface, so it's not possible to build a tool to do that. I wish it was possible, though.

I googled this exact issue, i.e., how to bulk delete? And boom, I found you. Thank you, thank you thank you. Now do you have a way to stop all the solicitations? My inbox is filled with Ads for series or good I don't want.

That's great - glad it is working for you. As for your inbox, I assume we're talking about DMs here. That's a more difficult problem to solve. Have you got any thoughts?

I would be more helpful if the instructions for getting the scripts were in the comments as well.

Thanks. The instructions are in the blog post because that's where you need to grab the scripts from - it's not possible to put them in the video description unfortunately.
